I'm wondering if my cart if actually fake before i check. The cards never failed before, but it's suddenly screwing up every game. there's a glitch with near all of my homebrew apps i just got and two new games i just got both screwed up (it plays the brand symbol then white screens). anyone help?

I have one newer model real dstt and a fake one . The real one works shitty. It doesn't load the card. I don't care if it's a real or fake as long as it works, and the fake works just fine with the old kernell.

if you own a FAKE dstti, you can still use it if you have a ACTION REPLAY DSI.

1. insert the FAKE DSTTI w/ SD MICRO loaded with your NDS roms, into the AR DSi's slot. DO NOT put any SD MICRO card in The AR DSi's slot.

2. Boot up the AR DSi, wait till al the loadin is done.

3. Select CODES on the main menu. alittle window will pop up saying' "UNKNOWN GAME INSERTED" press A to move on.

4. On the code list pick ANY code. on the next screen PRESS start.

5. Choose NOT to boot games with codes DONE

What I hate about this is that it ends up hurting those who unknowingly buy fakes, and end up being out $20 because their flash cart got killed by the firmware. I think it would suffice to just have an alert pop up saying that they're using a fake, and that all fakes are not endorsed or supported, and to use them at their own risk.

I ordered a DSTT 3-4 days ago, and now I'm hoping that I didn't end up buying a fake =/

Fakes do not brick your DS, though the firmware can sometimes ruin the DSMini card.

All official firmware has fake killer code in i, that randomly corrupts the internal flash of fakes.

This was all caused by a dispute within the team.

well to distinguish if it . it if is fake or not,,

just take a memcard with you.. then test it right on the store.. use the official kernel provided by the official site.. then show them.. if it is fake or not.. ii it show a X mark. show it to them that they selling FAKES!!!

if using DSTTi there is a program (.nds) rom can distinguish if the CART is fake or not..

we encountered this lately.. luckily i brought my DS and DSTTi of mine and test.. lucky my mem card is not broken. though the DSTT

they're gonna be including it on all the DS-TT software so it kills fake cards automatically and removing all the older versions of the software from circulation as much as possible, be very very careful when buying one of these and if you download the new software and put it onto a card and stick it in ur ds and it comes with a cross then return it to whomever you bought it from and demand a refund
