    A greeting.

  • I just bought very expensive Roland TD-12 kit but now I have watched some A.D vids and this program sounds extremely good. Could someone tell me what I need to do to use my Roland kit and this program to play? Kit, program, cable, computer?

  • @Villex93 All you need is an uno midi cable chord which is about 40 bucks, a decent laptop or PC with a nice sound card ( AISO) or interface & that's about it. Best wishes.

  • @2ndjonah Ok thanks

  • could i by any chance get that preset? sounds good

  • ok thanks

    i have a roland td3

    and i have a synthesizer

so what is my next step? :p

  • throw away your synthesizer and get addictive drums and a personus firebox to connect it to the pc.

  • how can i do that? O.o

  • Buy electronic drums - @ $450 (cheap)

Buy a good computer (2GB Ram min., Dual or Quad core)- @ $450

    Buy a low latency soundcard @ $150

    Buy XLN addictive drums - @ $250

You can replace electric drums with a keyboard or synthesizer with touch sensitive keys and midi connections.

  • Hi!

Can I do the same with a

    Yamaha DD-65?,

I use Addictive Drums / Cubase software.

    Thank you.

  • Yes you can , you just need a sound card that suports midi in , on midi-usb cabel

  • where do i get it for cubase?

  • Nice stuff, thanks for sharing

  • How drum and pc communicate? You should use a midi hardware? However sounds great!

  • yeah, you might need a midi-usb-interface...that would be the easiest way. a lot of external soundcards have got a midi-in/out, so you could use one of them.

  • Thx dude! Keep on rockin'!

  • I've tried to use Addictive Drums with a Roland TD-3 kit but the hi-hat didn't work correctly. Do you know if ther's something special thing to do inside Addictive Drums?

  • the td3 hi hat sucks eitherway

  • Hey I heard someone play that beat at GC...

  • Damn dude, your snare work is brilliant!

  • You are a freaking good drummer, only stop the cimbals.

  • ged shan man fik cymbal est peesh ged!!

  • i don´t know nothing about those drums but are better than any yamaha???

    sorry about my english!

  • yes. they are way better than yamaha.

  • hey i have a td3 too but how do you hook it up to your computer?

  • USB MIDI-controller is a good option

  • how do you sync the sound with the vid?

i think that the video and the audio file are 2 different files

  • my back is killing me from playing with my new td3. it's cuz of that or maybe someone stabbed me in the back without me knowing. twice.

  • boring

  • yes! boring... but the point is the sound ;)

  • lower the gain of your ride - it'll help

  • no i agree with you the ride playing is brutal

  • this would have been a LOT more informative if you had some who could actually play...that "ride" cymbal is brutal...hell it's all brutal. I think the drums sound good but I can't tell because the playing is so bad. But I guess thanks for trying at least.

  • stfu he's playing more than good enough to get an impression of how the drums sound. jerk. Your just a hater, and Im willing to bet that you are worse than him. THANKS ARTDRO!

  • how did u make it out lood if its a electric drum set

  • speakers

  • He connected his module via MIDI to his PC and use the Addictive drums Plugin, so then you can just record yourself with your webcam and audio input from your pc

  • How do you use both of the set and this program???

  • drum triggers

  • dude your really freakin' good

  • is this better than yamaha dtxpress IV????

  • thats what i am trying to find out

they r same price but i cant decide!

  • IMO any Roland kit is better than the Yamahas...

    Both in sound and function.

  • agree, sonicorb

  • I agree with sonicorb, but to truly know, go try them out yourself.

  • what monitor or amplification are you using for your kit? it sounds great

  • Wich "number" does that snare drum have on the drumset? I cant find it on my td3..

  • You can find that snare in Addictive Drums

  • Mhm, I'm not sure I have that one for some reason :O My module is a Percussion TD-3 V-Drums

  • He's using his midi out on the td3 to run sounds from software on his computer. The software's title is "Addictive drums".

  • Hi Artdro,

I too live in a small condo and cant make noise. I'm just starting out and was looking at the TD3 and the HD1 from Roland. Which would you recommend? Also Do you recommend sticking with the rubber pads or paying extra for mesh one?

  • TD 3 is a good one but I recomend TD 9 - it will be most silent for Your neighbours

  • @Artdro And why?

  • Just got one of these today and wondering how to get that program you have. I'm currently playing through a guitar amp :/

  • very nice drumming...

do you recommend about the roland drums?

  • I recommend Roland a very good equipment

  • Nice drumming and demo. I hate that ride sound though.

  • How close to a real (or should I say acoustic) drum kit is the playing feeling? I mean, if I get used to play in this kit and had to play in a acoustic kit would I be at loss or should I be fine? I am trying to get the most close to an acoustic drum kit with a digital one because I live in a condo and can't make that much noise.

  • when i close my eyes i can't see any difference between real one

  • hey, how did you connect you td3 to your computer? and get these sounds onto it? i bought a td3 2day but i want some cooler sounds on it. could sum1 help please??

  • My bands drummer has a TD3 based kit. We run the MIDI out into the MIDI in on my Presonus Firepod. Using MIDI doesnt use any sounds from the TD3 module, it just acts to trigger the sounds on the computer (ie AD or EZ D) :)

  • is the sound entirely from addictive drums?

  • Nicely played, just the set up I am looking to get. Well... allready have AD. Just the kit needed. Thanks for the video.

  • what's so interesting on the other side of the kit?

  • for the first 5 minutes you look like youre blind . . . . .

    great vid man

  • TD3 Defenately !!!

  • not so bad...

  • what kind of amp do you need for a td-3?

  • it does not mater

  • f/**@'n ride LMAO!

  • I found it on the internet for $249.99

  • Right on! Love when you start the march type drumming - sweet!

  • 249.99
