@RJP142 i actually keep em around. There great for alaugh and I like when they do fight. I usually make runs where i gather 5 or 6 of em give em guns and have us go on kill spree quite fun and is kinda epic. Think of it as "Frank and his killer friends mode" or something lol! Try takin them down the maitenence tunnles or to Alfresca on Day three for some fun ( or frustration lol)

Escourt missions in any game are always painfully unenjoyable because the people you have to escourt always seem to actively seek their own deaths. Goddamit Capcom, if you insisit on making us do 10000000 more escourt missions in DR2, then for the love of fuck, please say you fixed their annoying and suicidal AI.

Lets all hope to god u DO NOT have to rescu em or that they have SOME degree of intelligence. That spot is a glitch for them for some reason the same thing can happen to Fran but he can get outta it. ur survivors can't I had this happen to Kent on day two for his scoop. The a.i is on some crack or something sometimes i swear!

@angelboyxx Ive player DR2 case zero now. There are still plenty of escourt missions, and you still have to babysit them every step of the way, but they are a lot better. Much more predictable. When you tell them to go somewhere, they don't stand about like they did in DR1, they fucking go there. They also manage to follow you successfully as opposed to getting stuck on the slightest obstacle and turning a corner.

@iPhap No, i've played DR2 though now, the AI is a lot better. They still run into groups of zombies but can usually push their way through. And they react much more quickly when you give them a point to run to. All in all, survivor AI is not one of the worst points of DR2.

I've never played the first, so I can only compare it to L4D2, and the AI are pretty much worse than that. They frequently get into your line of fire, and then defect because you hit them too much. They're way too slow, always get caught by some random zombie if you run even slightly ahead. It's just annoying to play a game where one of the key components is broken. Now, whenever I tell people about this game, I have to add "even though", and "it's still good." It ruins the overall experience.

@iPhap Dude, the AI is not that bad in DR2. I can quite safely run ahead and my followers are quite capable of keeping up. If you keep the pace up, the zombies can't catch them. Also on the odd occasions when they do get caught, they often free themselves if given long enough and then run straight back to where you are. Certainly their AI will win no awards, but it IS functional unlike the first DR.
