  • Thus ever to Picasso's ... um ... art??? My doodles in primary school showed more promise. Anyway, great version by Right said Fred. Hope the Russian bigot who punched out the lead singer [whatever his name is] got sent to a gulag in Siberia.

  • Brilliant Just leave out the verse that EXPLAINS THE WHOLE SONG

  • Well I never heard the original so I went to check it out and no offence but I TOTALLY think this version is wayyyy better then the original one!

  • Thanks for the upload. Which album is this on? Thanks !!!!

  • He can actually sing! I'm impressed.

  • Such beautiful ladies in this video. It makes one wonder why all ladies can't be that beautiful. Wouldn't it be nice if all ladies were that attractive.

  • Better than "I'm too sexy". Make of that what you want.

  • love that part " and the painting u stole from Picaso " *throws the painting* FRED4EVER

  • it'd take it up the bum for fred! :)

  • ...just gorgeous.....my lovely

  • loverly song relaxing.

  • Woeful cheesy shite. Just a thought for all plagiarists, try to make a song better. If you can't, don't bother!

  • @neilb229

Have to agree, really cheesy. And they left out the verse about Naples. WTF? That was the whole point of the song!

  • There are a few peole who got missed in our pop madnees, am well impressed with the quality of this voice.....or may be it's a good voice and some good engineering.....but this guy & Jimmy Nail go missed in the rush for pure chart matl.

  • i fgrited my teeth and listened to this expecting it to be crap , well , it is not as bad as i thought . no where near as good as the original but perfectly listenable to .

  • Super calosc.

  • such a relaxing voice

  • Wow ! what a good version of this wonderful song.. Love the video.

  • A surprisingly good cover.

  • This is very good, it's a shame they didn't arrange it to start with less of a backing track, bringing in more instruments with each verse. It is also odd that they cut the 'back streets of Naples' verse which was the rags-to-riches point of the whole song really. Without that it's just a song about a rich woman which doesn't have much context.

  • hahah why is he in a hair salon...HES BALD!..well i do suppose thats the random point..

  • Why would anyone who liked the original Sarstedt who has a right MIND would like this weird cover? I think the biggest charm of the original song lies on the nostalgia it evokes - the era of Zizi Jeanmaire and Marlene Dietrich...it just doesn't work when an artist of this generation covers this song. It's a 'period' classic, just leave it alone!!

  • @eriquerique this is shit because RSF are shit too. I think Nick Cave would do an interesting cover of this.

  • this is very good for stomach , or if u u wanna have puke ...

  • isnt the dark haired hair dresser peter sarstedt?

  • Awful cover.... If this was ground floor than the original is the Burj Dubai tower....waaaay out there!

  • This is really Good!!! I am sooo Shocked...Good Fun!!

  • This is really really good

  • Check out Keith Harkin

He does this song best without using a cheap set and cheaper models

Is it a great artist who produces a video of a bald man singing in a hair salon?

Or perhaps too many 1980's qualudes *wink*

Bad video but ... GREAT SONG!

  • I like the original better.

  • New artist for me, but very intresting.

  • Guitar Chords Are - G . B minor C . D

  • I love the original of this song, so when i saw this version by Right Said Fred i was thinking this will be total bollox - but wow- how wrong i was -they do this so well! Well done Right Said Fred. x & thanks to grabbagnew for posting it. x

  • Best Cover Ever..............Fact!!!!!!!!!

  • @shedhead1974

    Extremely bold, subjective statement ;-)

    ... fact!

  • Pathetic!

  • j'adore....

  • anyone know where i can get the guitar tabliture for this song

i can remember my mum playing this song when i was little in 1969 / 1970 3 - 4 years old, i would love to learn the song myself,

  • @mellowmeuk

    Guitar Chords Are - G . B minor C . D

  • anyone know where i can get the guitar tabliture for this song

  • Nice try,i'm sure they are huge fans of the original & wanted to put their slant on it but you can't outdo Peter Sarstedt.....check out his acoustic version, search "Where do yo go to, my lovely? (con subtítulos)" has spanish subtitles but its the best version i've ever heard

  • Brilliant............ love it.

  • I have always loved this song and think Right Said Fred do a beautiful version of this, could listen to this as well as the original from Peter Sarsted ,heard a few other cover's of this and this is the best I have heard.

  • he looks like steve wilkos

  • RUBBISH. you can't compare this to the original version. They are just slaughtering it.

  • a wonderful song sung by one of the best voices i can think of.

and by one of the sexiest men in my opinion..

  • Love it Richard!

  • How did he shave of what was never there to begin with?

  • Big Sh..t!!! Noone can reach the original by Peter Sarstedt!!!

  • ah my ears!!

  • The Fred can do anything :)

    Go on boys :D

  • its always gona be hard to cover a great song. so dont.

  • I love this version.

  • wtf??????

  • Keith Harkin performs this far better with an accoustic guitar in his dressing room.

  • This version sucks.

  • Never try to imitate a perfect original. This one is particularly vulgair.

  • It sounds more like he talking, not singing and there's no passion in his voice.

I didn't enjoy it at all, it is quite sterile, with a few barbie dolls in the video, that's all.

I'm not a singer, but, I'm sure, even I could do better than this. so I'll give it 0 out of 10

  • Best cover ever.... go the Fredsters! Wooo Woot Woot

  • @TehJalapeno Only his mother would say something like that, but I think everyone else would BOOOOOOO him off stage. Poor fella, you should be kind to him and tell him can't sing and he should hang up his microphone.

  • This is shite. I'm ashamed.

  • @Cacahuetes hahaha say it like it is lol...I completely agree with you

  • how can anyone one say this song isn't nice? I now know why people hate Americans?

  • probably the shittiest cover ever

  • @z0mgeomge yes I agree, but you just forgot to add,

'IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD... LOL

  • The original is a fave with my parents and I love it too. I quite like the freshness of this and the fact that there's still a sadness in the performance.

  • @SoOpiniated I wouldn't call that sadness, but I would call it a monotonour dreary voice.

  • Crap cover version

  • @orb3073 LOL More than a few people agree with you

  • Crap Cover version

  • Top drawer!!

  • @lacondesaplayamar lol I can only presume that your drawers are upside down,

flip them over onto their feet

  • The words 2 this song sound like their talking about Sri Nabuji... I know he my Sri .... Regenald

  • Never knew this existed! Yes, it's nowhere in comparison to Sarstedt's original BUT, if Peter had never lived and it was a new track that RSF had produced, then you'd have to say that it's not half bad. When covers are made, they are instantly compared to the original and it's very hard to beat or even equal the first version because of our own emotional attachments, memories or musical tastes concerning the original; offence is then caused when a cover is made that devalues these connections.

  • @leamgem but Sarsted did live.......... nuff said

  • @rsoomer Evidently. My point being that the track will cause some offence to people who love the original, (such as myself). Let's get past the comparison and judge it as a new piece of work.

  • @leamgem I can't, because it isn't a new piece of work. Please open your ears and eyes, this is really a terrible cover

  • @rsoomer Because you've compared it, right? My ears and eyes are open - as is my mind.

  • @leamgem my mind is open also, that´s why i've listend it to the end. But RSF just don't understand what the song is about. I'm not against covers, just bad ones.

  • @leamgem BRILLIANT comment, THANKYOU. I fell in love with Peter Sarsted's version when I first heard it at age15, in 1969. I have just been to Sarsted's version listening a half dozen times (and LOVING it) ...then came here out of curiosity.

I REALLY like RSF's version! It is nice to hear this beaut song with a deeper voice (just for a change) and I think "Fred" is paying much respect to this song, and I LOVE HIS VERSION too! Im shocked at all that dont like it.

  • @Jupiterconjunct I am sorry to say to you that I don't like this version, if however i heard this one first maybe a different story... Peter sarstedt owns this song. but perhaps that is my nostalgia kicking in with the love of this song

  • You remind me of a Tuck wipe.

  • Yo, right said fred,

we've looked inside your head and there's nobody home.

  • the other day my daughter (who's 7) was going on: "I want the sixty four song, daddy". We tried all the options we could think of before getting her to sing a bit of the song... it was "I'm to sexy"... sing along and you'll see where she's coming from.

  • oh dear..... taking everything good about the original song and throwing it away, a horrible cover

  • why did you do this fred???? thi is like one of my favorite songs ever and you have just crushed it ,damn you fred , i used to think you were ok (not that i listened to your music lol ) thanks ;(

  • @summerdaez

Funny that you say that. I don't care for the song and I think it ruined Fred's comical side. XD

  • @Silvia1826 lol comical side ahahahahah silvia did you really listen to them, did you admit that in public ,bet you had the t-shirt, ohhh lol, have fun , big smiles :P

  • @summerdaez

I've only heard a total of four songs they've done. "I'm Too Sexy, Love Song, and You're My Mate." This one I just happened to run across and played it in the background. Didn't know they had a t-shirt. So what are you saying, that he's not as funny as his videos portray to him?

  • @Silvia1826 yeahhh all right buttercup .. whatever .. you love them , you are in love with fred , he makes you smile because you want to polish his head in a special way ;)

  • @Silvia1826

Ewwwwwwwww. I never said I was in love with him. His songs cheer me up in sad times.

  • I think the contrast of the beautiful song ... and God it is ... with the silliness of the video is the entire point. The era the music belongs to was such a contradiction in styles and feelings ... and that may be what they were shooting for here.

Even if you don't like the idea, I think the vocals are very nice.

  • Forgive him, Peter Sarstedt, for he knows not what he does. Such an introspective song turned into a Monkees segment. Sad...very sad.

  • hast du auch you're my mate von den beiden? oder weiß einer wo ich das finde?:P

  • well i hope pete sarstedt is rolling in his grave

  • @theeyesofatraitor9 He is still alive!

  • General comment,

I am sorry that i don''t exactly what you mean whit your asking answer to me of:why do i?

Good song where do you go to my lovely.I can only say that i don''t know it,because of my unsecure about lot of things about my life and other things.

I shall say i''ll see where do i going.

  • No.no,no,no,no,no,no.

  • such a serious song with such a frivolous clip.

  • This. Is. Shite.

  • weee we eh ehe hee jah!

  • This video is an insult to the original song. It's terrible.

How come he's laughing while singing the saddest part of the song, does he even understand what he's singing?

    DISGUSTING

  • This video is an insult to the original song. It's terrible.

How come he's laughing while singing the saddest part of the song, does he even understand what he's singing?

    DISGUSTING

  • he looks so much olderin this one

  • HFS! Right Said Fred covered this song; it's actually not bad either, wow.

  • this is very good.

  • Quite like this version..........sweet:)

  • it doesnt look like him

maybe because hes wearing a shirt!!!lol

  • Quite like this version and quite funny to see him singing a romantic song but the origional is better.

  • awful

  • hmm i will check out the original. but this is quite funny !

  • Is it my ears or does this guy have a very pronounced lisp? I like this!

  • what album did this come off of? I can't seem to find Right Said Fred's version anywhere other than on youtube.

  • i love it!!!!

  • worst remix ever!

  • hmm who is the original please?

  • peter sarstedt done the original, but not bad for fred.

  • yeahhh..

..there's certain songs that shouldn't be covered.

and this is one of them.

  • i facepalmed about 100 times before he even started singin and then about 1000 more whom he started

  • moooooooooooooooooooooooc gut:-)

  • With a blond wig, he'd be the spitting image of Ellen DeGeneres

    Carsanook (dot com)

    Bangkok

  • I love it

  • I happen to think it's a pretty good cover, It's a damn sight better than " I'm too sexy " that's for sure lol

  • Original version a LOT better than this. Yeah his voice is ok on it, but Peter Sarstedt's voice is untouchable. The video just takes the piss. It's no where near what the song is on about or needs to look visually.

  • @Jexington80 Sorry, this video does "take the piss", watch again!

  • This is really good. Say what you want about the group, this guy can actually sing.

  • I liked the song more than it is sung original

  • the video is very distracting. try listening to it without watching the video. I think he sings this song very well. I prefer it to Peter Sarstedt's version. It is a shame it is not the full version of the song especially I wish it hadn't missed the part about the back streets of Naples and 2 children begging in rags.

  • Ridiculously shallow video for such a heart-felt tune. This song deserved a more romantic visual.

  • I think that may be the point - a "shallow" video because the singer cannot see inside her, he can only see her facade. Maybe???

  • @backinday I think your right, he also likes to take a dig at the whole fashion/glamor industry! That is what the 'I'm too sexy' song was about!

  • ok Ive just watched 5 different vids by these dudes, all EXACTLY the same, they wear whack clothes and run round with chicks who look like drag queens.

these boys better be on the hard drugs is all I can say

  • they have such amazing harmony!

  • I like the video and found it rather amusing. The original version of the song is great but not a bad attempt at a cover. Thansk for posting

  • fail

  • This is actually quite good! I like it!

  • More charm in the original...

  • ruined the song

  • I've always loved this song and this version is quite good but the video is maddeningly distracting from the music!

  • dire and hos mouths weird

  • Maybe it's just the vid. Lets be fair guys this isn't bad. I for one like this more than the original.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree. Quite exceptionally this is better.

  • haha im pissing myself right now

  • i agree cool bloke,,,,,,,,nice clober

  • call me gay, but where did he get his wardrobe ? he is a sharp dressed man as zz top would say

  • ewh

  • This is ridiculous

  • no no n no no no no no!!!!

  • PANTS! Sarstedt;'s original is much better. RSF should never have been allowed further than I'm Too Sexy. lol

  • this is probably what these guys were really like and not what the corporates wanted.

  • first time i see this...its really good done...so loves touch touched him also...have a good time....

  • This remake shows just how much the world has changed since. The song's intrinsic potential is truly, definitively revealed here. It is brilliant. And isn't that Bach in the background?

  • YES

  • He is so cute! I love that man :)
