The Constitution applies everywhere. These Christians were exercising their free speech rights and they were illegally arrested. Religious freedom doesn't just apply on the internet or in Vegas. I think one point is being missed here. The men were told not to pass out Christian tracks at a Arab American Festival. When they tried to another location near by , the Dearborn police were called. When they talk the police in a peaceful manner, they were arrested for "Disorderly Conduct". How could that be disorderly? When one of them taped this injustice on video, the police stopped them and took their camera. Why? Because the police knew they were wrong and didn't want evidence for proof.

But I also have to agree with MelMelsNRich, in the State of Michigan it is not against the law to tape anyone on or in a public place, with or without there permission. Michigan Law is very strict when it comes to tape someone without there permission, but on a public street this law doesn't apply.

Those guys in the museum were openly mocking a religion in a religious establishment which was probably not a public establishment, and therefore had every right to kick the disrespectfuls out.
As for the festival, those guys had the right to ask the cameras to stop videoing, and had a right to kick them out. It's their festival, and to declare you have "free speech" at their festival is like going to someones backyard and video taping.

The Constitution applies everywhere. These Christians were exercising their free speech rights and they were illegally arrested. Religious freedom doesn't just apply on the internet or in Vegas. It applies to public streets outside Arab festivals. I'm an atheist and I can't believe I'm supporting Christian evangelists. I think one point is being missed here. The men were told not to pass out Christian tracks at a Arab American Festival. When they tried to another location near by , the Dearborn police were called. When they talk the police in a peaceful manner, they were arrested for "Disorderly Conduct". How could that be disorderly? When one of them taped this injustice on video, the police stopped them and took their camera. Why? Because the police knew they were wrong and didn't want evidence for proof.

But I also have to agree with MelMelsNRich, in the State of Michigan it is not against the law to tape anyone on or in a public place, with or without there permission. Michigan Law is very strict when it comes to tape someone without there permission, but on a public street this law doesn't apply.

Those guys in the museum were openly mocking a religion in a religious establishment which was probably not a public establishment, and therefore had every right to kick the disrespectfuls out.
As for the festival, those guys had the right to ask the cameras to stop videoing, and had a right to kick them out. It's their festival, and to declare you have "free speech" at their festival is like going to someones backyard and video taping.
