@DonMega187 I was addicted to the game and it made me an unconfident and not very socialable person but i have recovered from it know by getting a new hobby bmxing which im actually going to upload a video of me doing it soon in like a week or two, also resit some exams i failed because i was to addicted playing the game and made me feel depressed

I'm only a child, like all these kids here! And I'm glad my schools, and my parents teach me how important it is to not get hooked on these things... And yeah, I'm on a lap top now. But I'm not relying on it for my every move. :) I do get imformation off of it, and I do play games. The point is; For education : BE REAL, and for fun : DON'T GET HOOKED! :D

@BubbleGumBubbleGirl a person can still get hooked even if he knows it can be harmful for him :) it takes constant self observation to control ur behavior and life, something most people have no time for in their hectic lives. that's why there's so much addictions in the world because people do not practise enough their minds (and i mean the mind that makes you the person you are)

How they are fun, so it's throwing the idea out to them that there's nothing wrong with it! And it leads to real kids killing real people in real life. Nowdays it's leading them to this idea sooner and sooner. If it can be taught by a HUMAN, why isn't it? It can be made FUN by a person! Getting hard imformation that a person would have a hard time teaching, it's great to use the computer for it! But whenever it's possible to teach yourself, or have someone teach you, go for it.

@BubbleGumBubbleGirl a stable minded person easily makes the distinction that shooting bunch of pixels or polygons in a virtual world has no relevance towards real world. for most of us it's just that, just a game. for few sick individuals they may get ideas out of games for their acts of insanity, but the real insanity is already inside them and they would act out eventually anyway. studies is made which proves in places where people play most videogames there's less violence and crimes btw ;)

It's only because parents, teachers, and any person that used to have a responsibility to educate (before these talk-back-so-called-learning-t­oys/computers) are lazy! It is much easier to them now as they don't need to do anything. And so, thats why more and more schools are tricking you into thinking it's all in an act to get learning fun! And it's still educational, when really, it's just melting your brain. And also with the addictions! It's making it fun for the kid, with the violent games!

its interesting watching this video in hindsight. I was one of those kids in this particular age of computing, and I spent more time with a computer than i did with anyone else. This was viewed as a really bad thing, but for me, i was learning to develop software. Sure, it started with games, but that lead to me wondering how it all worked. Which eventually lead to my current career in software development.

Do remember, computers/consoles then were very much mostly a single, non social past time.

Over the last 10 years computers have become a much more social activity, that only began around the year 2000 as the internet became more popular and accessable by the general public :)!

The first MMO opened up in 1987, the first MMORPG in 1994. So I am not talking about MMO's but actually general accessability to the net. (Or WIRED, for those that know the reference ;) )
