Eddie Marr wasn't a "radio announcer" as much as he was an actor on dozens of radio shows, including his famous exchange with Jack Benny in April 1948 {"Now, come on- your money or your life..........Look, Bud! I said, 'YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE'!"/"I'M THINKING IT OVER!!"}.
Coincidentally UA would have some ownership of the older color] Warner Bros. cartoon shorts,, the ones in the "A.A.P." library. The music is the same celebrated in the IMHO now overhyped "What's Opera Doc", Richard Wagner's famous "Ring" opera. Blasphemy but MUCH better here then "WOD":) Come end credits, some familiar names: Adolphe Menjou and Pola Negri, two that returned later with Disney, good old MGM and Wizard of Oz standby Billie Burke, as well as raido announcer Ed Marr and a few others.
Wow. this seems to be an unsung bit of animation history not to mention special effects in general. It's cheesy but it looks to be the best part of an otherwise bland movie that for the most part is lost in the hearts and minds of most movie lovers and historians.
looks like the animation of Frank Tashlin @0:35
