I'm a French/Belgian screenwriter and Director, I search a Castle, or a mansion, (interiors) in Belgium, for an Horror Movie. This castle is wonderful, perfect. We have already Exteriors : "Castle Miranda", in Belgium too, and we still search interiors.
I don't think it's abandoned, it's just empty at the moment, I will not be surprised if it's on sale or if it becomes a hotel soon. You can see it is well maintained, all the grounds around the chateau are very well kept .
It kills me to see such treasure whither away. Imagine how amazing this place would be if someone came in and refurbished it. I would love to live in a place like this. Such places should be protected and maintained. What a shame.
I'm pretty sure its just unoccupied, the belgians like to protect their old buildings, they're brilliant that way.

The music gives the building a scary touch which is sad I think, because its such a beautiful place and not a haunted house (at least I hope so)
