  • Omg fantastick video and playing! Now I know what six organs I want to visit and play in!!!

  • Does anybody know what she's playing at 12:20? It sounds so familiar! I'm probably going to kick myself when I find out...

  • @64ftContraBombarde Siciliano from concerto in D minor op. 3 no. 11 by vivaldi, arranged for organ by Bach

  • Excellent, well done for posting this.

I wish the organ would become more popular to the general public.

Many people I speak to say they love the sound of pipe organs but not necessarily what is played on them which is a shame.

  • One of the 20th centuries great concert organist...I had pleasure hearing her play at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Auckland NZ ( her home country ) This small lady so full of energy!!!

  • Superb playing and recording. For those that thank that Virgil Fox was the greatest organist that has ever lived, would do well to watch this, and get their head out of the sand

  • Well Done Dame Gillian, This woman brought us contact with organs and music that these days is so easy to access on the internet back in the 80s things were very different.

  • Easy to see and hear why this series became a runaway success back in the '80,s. Really great playing, superb choice of instruments and (for the time) adventurous visuals.

    Thank you, a real treat.

  • This vid is so worth watching, and doing so and listening to the music played in it did really make my day. Great playing, and Haarlem's organ is a real treasure, a jewel in the organ landscape of the Low Countries. Most appreciated, thank you very much for uploading.
