@KoolaidKILLa18 i've read that goats that are well taken care of can live past 15 but you might want to ask a veterinarian or breeder. the few things i know about pygmies are from what i've read online.

@Rewindthefuture1 she knew :) we didn't breed them we got them from a breeder. we got them i think the day before this. we kept them in the house for six weeks (but still took them to play outside).

@trashypoodle2 I thought so but the breeder let us take them because we wanted to bottle feed them. They never seemed depressed in any way. They're really sweet and follow us around like dogs. When they were this little I could hold them both in my lap and they'd fall asleep. Now that they've gotten so big they lay down on either side of me and sleep or chew their cud.

@HollandZee They're not in the house anymore. Yeah I'd find that a bit abusive too. Even at this age I was still taking them out all day. Didn't want them cooped up in the house all day. But now whenever I come back in from outside they rush for the door and sometimes take a walk around the house. They're pretty funny.

i trained my goat to pee on a painters tarp then i just wash the tarp every week it works out great training was easy the little poop balls get swept up twice a day with a swivel sweeper suction vaccumes dont work well as they blow the smell out the swivel sweeper just picks them up and i dump them in a closed trash can this is my first pygmy goat and i find it to be a great pet and easy to teach it tricks like stand and dance i love my goat named gigity

@captrich420 You might want to get another goat. Because they're herd animals they shouldn't be raised alone and have a need to socialize with other goats. Most breeders won't sell them unless you're getting two.

@kkian22 they're doing great and so sweet! i'll go lay in the yard and they come and bed down beside me. it's the sweetest thing. charlie can actually get a bit wild and try to ram whoever comes in the back yard.

@vladmirgc We kept them in the sunroom for 6 weeks. As they got older we'd keep them outside and bring them in at night. The sunroom didn't smell so great even after changing out their blankets and paper every day for those 6 weeks. I'm lucky my mom didn't make me keep them in the basement or outside. That would've killed me. But now the sunroom doesn't smell like pygmies had lived there ;)
