It's a raw sound but she does sing with conviction. I think she has an amazing voice. Very different from many artists you hear today - who prefer to mime! I love this live performance.

you have to push yourself to expand your range, and she can definitely hit them

@squidviscous420 I know how you can train your voice and this is not it! She is over-stretching to reach some of those notes its pretty obvious. Done get me wrong I think shes a great singer and I love her voice but she is damaging it! You can even notice in the last year how the top of her vocal range is a lot more croaky and forced than it used to be.

@benjyyy idk her music very well, i do know about singing though, all im saying is the more she pushes herself the bigger her range will be. imagine this song performed live in a year or two. will be much better. she also looks quite exhausted,that is most likely part of the vocal stress to. shes sweating like crazy.

@squidviscous420 Im sorry but this is wrong. Straining to hit the notes does NOT improve your range, it just damages your vocal chords. If she keeps at it she wont be able to sing these songs in a few years. She does hit most of the notes in this video but she is visibly straining to get there. Check out other videos where she strains and doesnt quite hit the high notes. Its painful even watching her try!

The diffrence with stars of today and stars of yesterday, is todays stars stand on a stage sweating all over the place pulling ugly faces just to reach those all important hihgeerrreeeiihhh notes, while the stars of yesterday had poise and glamour and didn't need to reach notes to be called a great singer, they had clarity over quantity, thats what its about, listen to her at 2.48, its painful and gave me a headache, she already has a great voice, but the Aguilera treatment is ruing it for me.
