  • Based on dozens and dozens of video clips from across Syria, I have seen that women are often just as involved in the protests as men. Some protests seem to even have a majority of women, or women and children.

  • we are proud of HARA2ER syria يا حرائر سوريا تشرفوا الملايين

  • Live fire on women's protests has been more restrained, however, and it is certainly true that the large majority of casualties and detentions have been of men.

  • Dear Lizrael, Thank you for your comment. That the protests have been largely male-populated is exactly the myth this video aims to dismantle. There have been women's street protests nearly every single day since protests began except possibly the first 5 days, and this can be documented by simple YouTube searches, yet coverage in world media seems not to air the footage on a regular basis, preferring the footage of male protesters.

  • very well done :))

  • Thanks for this video and for highlighting women's role in the protests. I think, however, that it presents a picture that does not correlate with reality completely. Overall, the overwhelming majority of protests have been male-only, and as a result, the overwhelming majority of protesters who were killed are males. Protests are gender-segregated, for the most part, and women usually do not participate.
