  • this guy reminds me of Master Roshi from Dragonballz lol

  • Who wants to even eat the disgusting American beef filled with Bovian-growth hormones which makes you sick as hell. Most of the countries in the world banned American beef by the way.

  • Korea should not ratify the FTA with the U.S. One important issue Koreans should be aware of concerns the U.S. farm exports to Korea - American beef is practically inconsumable due to the usage of growth hormones administered to Am. beef and the fact that corn, which is not a natural part of a cow's diet, is used to feed Am. cows. Watch "The World According To Monsanto" to get a better idea of how corrupted the FDA can be. Watch the documentary "King Corn" too. Protect Korea's domestic market!

  • Haha import american food , looks like DPRK is better off with state agriculture he he he .

South should start making their own food without using US laws that outlaws their own agriculture.

Long Live The Power Of Juche!!!!!

  • There is NO North-south animosity; the situation exists at the bequest of the US. So, IF the US military goes there will be no real need for defense against the North. In South Korea, a democratic country in which I live, there is no fear nor animosity towards thew north. That is simply a contrivance of the US MEDIA! Furthermore, are you trying to say that if the US "protects" the South, then they have an OBLIGATION to purchase their goods? That's fascism!

  • Sounds like a fair trade. I spent 7 months on there with the Army trainging Korean soldiers to fight the North.

  • @bundangbear That BAK traitor is just following US orders and using the fascist junta to the max , fuck imperialism Communism Rules!!!!!

    JUCHE! :)

  • Woww Texas are you an ignorant imperialist or what? The world DOES NOT revolve around Amerika. Have you ever been out of the country? You have no clue, really, and it's pretty sad. Go back to your redneck shit and leave realpolitik up to those of us who went to college (cow college doesn't count.)

  • I see you've met Cloe, the Japanese salaryman who pretends to be an Australian teen girl LOL. Anything he says is worthless.

  • Oh my god so cute last picture... haha ~ We love you too

  • sure there's nothing wrong with the beef. i guess you never researched the fta deal right. it's about how unfair the deal is. many people just talk about the quality of the beef but it's actually the policy. it will do nothing good for the korean economy and it will make korea adopt some weird policies that will make the people suffer like the american health system

  • South Koreans protest too much. Let's ban protests in South Korea for a few years until people get out of the habit of protest. They can blog instead or send a letter to the editor.

11,000 protests per year in a pimple-on-the-butt-of-Asia country is far over-the-top.

  • you should go to france. they have strikes all the time, but the government actually respects them. it's people's voice and opinions. when government won't communicate with its citizens, people have no choice but to go radical and have protests

  • Cad Mow

  • WTF!! Your a nationalist..!!.

    Not much dangerous beef....

    And how about Chinese foods...?

Chinese foods are way more dangerous but no protesting about it!

Check how many people die from chinese foods in toatal % and compare the danger with American beef!!

And it was big news n America!!

And about korea and Japan...thats soooo long ago...99.999% of people now are inocent against Korea and China-.-

  • gunnota, I really can't understand your incomprehensible comments here. The protests were, above all, protests against 이명박, and NOT against America. I live here. Do you?

  • well...I think the president is way better than kimgongil wich died last year...

And I guess that is because the presdent is on the side of internationalism...wich Amerca wants to keep......

Another...seems like you live in different places in the same time...

  • This vid was made in USA, yes, in June 2008. I moved to Korea in August 2008, for the second time. Look at the dates.

  • Okay..

  • Gunnota, Koreans were not boycotting US beef but they wanted stringent screening process and clearance at custom to ensure safety. They were protesting against Korean gvt for allowing lenient screen process allowing greater chance for contaminated beef to flood into K-market and US gvt pressuring Korea to do so as a part of FTA negotiation. China ship bad products but the did not pressure K-govt to lower its screening, never. And when bad product is found, stuff are sent back with a protest

  • Let's say situation was reversed. It was Korean beef being imported to the US. US public has found out there have been occurrence of mad cow diseases in Korean cows. Having a stringent screen process aside, would they even allow US govt to import its beef? Korea did not invent protectionism. US did. And US practices it better and more often than any country in the planet.

  • Koreans LOVE American beef. The huge sales of American beef to Koreans PROVE this fact.

  • I live here and not all protests were peaceful. Only MBC falsely reported that the US beef had mad cow disease.

Also Lee MyungBak was elected as the most popular president ever, winning by a HUGE margin.

  • NEWS FLASH!!! The USA DOES, indeed, have MAD COW infested BEEF~ How do I know this? American schools have been asked to CEASE serving beef at PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THANKS to the HUMANE SOCIETY, the American public was informed...that that the sheeple care or believe, as McDonalks is THRIVING! Also, my letter to the USDA was answered with "We don't have enough staff to inspect ALL COWS! Tsk Tsk, they THEY SHOULD GET OUT OF THE BUSINES OF PRETENDING TO HELP PEOPLE! Great channel here! God bless! ~ Cat

  • Humm.. U.S. beef was approved for import. And, amazingly, at all the E-Marts around me, they sold out by the second day! Wow, all those Koreans really do hate American beef. I feel so sorry for the Australians who didn't sell as much of their meat in Korea. But I am glad that the good meat was cheaper so poorer families could afford it.

I love debate on serious political issues, but some people are are way too narrow in their views.

  • cdc, the issue was never really about the beef, but rather the total lack of respect by 이명박 for the people of Korea. When a president fails to act on behalf of the people, he becomes a tyrant. 이명박 has, like Bush, become a tyrant.

  • Ok...what a great definition there, buddy. Except, tyrants don't get an option of whether they are re-elected ever few years. Again, you are being so narrow on these views, definitions, and accusations. Korea is a constitutional republic and President Lee is acting the way he stated when he was running for election. Maybe the Koreans aren't happy, but they can state that next election. Or their legislature can try to impeach. There aren't mass movements for that yet. Hum..

  • cdc, that is just not true. There is a real ongoing movement to impeach 이명박 in the legislature.

  • US govt is forcing Korea to import 30month or older beef which has been proven to be risky for BSE(mad cow disease)

why should korea import 30mo or older beef with BONES(highly likely for BSE) while other countries import 20 or 24month beef with heavy restrictions?

In June08, a Canadian mad cow was found.

On July 7, 08, US govt is banning 30 month or older Canadian beef until further notice

The Korean protests seem very fair. Why can't they refuse the meat we don't even eat?

  • I hate your beef you fat American. This is insensitive and ignorant, and just poorly done all around. Oh wait, its just your fat face. Shut up and shove another Big Mac in your face you obese turd.

  • 바보

Thanks for copying my quote on MY comment to YOUR poorly done vid. No, I don't eat at McDonald's, and my favorite food is chobap and samgyeopsal, ok? Ad hominem attacks only lessen your argument. I made a vid in support of the Korean PEOPLE, not the government. You obviously like Lee Myung Bok and his fascist regime, NOT the real people. People all over the world fighting fascist governments I support. You are a fascist.

    바보

  • butt, are you that stupid? At least make an original comment and not just copy what bb wrote on your shitty vid. You have ZERO originality here.

  • Cut it out!

    bundangbear didn't import the beef

American government and 이명박 did it

look out what 이명박 is doing!

  • You also is eating U.S. Beef from Cattle 30 month over! HEY! FATMAN! Delicious hamburger, your Favorite Food, is Made of U.S. Beef from Cattle 30 month over! So! You are infected with Mad Cow Disease, BSE! Retarded FAT man!

  • 당신은 왜 그런 바보인가?

  • My favorite food is chobap and samgyeopsal, ok?

  • And, "Jeonradian", Sons of remaining N.korean people's army in S.korea, is NOW fighting and shout against U.S. and S.korean government. This is it.

  • Incredible? Hard to believe? But It is real true.

kim Dae-jung, Former president of S.korea, was a member of Soviet Worker's party in S.korean and did Spy action for Worker's party and People's Army of N.korean. As the result, In Korean War, 1950, Kim Dae-jung was in Internment Prison and was awaiting the execution of Death Penalty. But Kim Dae-jung was released By N.korean people's Army marching S.korean territory.

  • you need to understand "Jeon-ra province".

Inhabitants of jeon-ra province called "Jeonradian" is different to the common S,korean people.

So, most Anti government protesters are inhabitants of jeon-ra province.

  • In 1950-1953, Korean War, North korean people's army marched to the extreme South territory of S.korea and, of course, occupied Jeon-ra province

  • But, According to UN army reading Douglas MacArthur succeed in the In-cheon invasion with amphibious warfare, the North korean Army's road for supply and withdrawal was cut off. Then N.korea Army remained cause cannot retreat, in Jeon-ra province, continues fighting against S.korean Army and government, and called "Pal-gaeng-i" same as the communist resistance militant, until NOW.

  • MacArthur was a fascist and tool of the Amerikan Empire.

  • Hmmm. Thanks for your concern about Republic of Korea. but,,,,Cause of your Ignorance. You need to informations of korean modern history. According to your Speech, You know the Demonstration of Kwang-ju 5.18, 1980. In point of fact, Before Kim Dae-jung who is the elder of jeon-la province became the president of S.korea, It is real name that " The insurrectionary rampage of Kwng-ju 5.18, 1980."

  • As the evidence, All Kwng-ju insurgents used M1 carbine rifle wrested from Kwng-ju Police Station, and All Militant and Policeman of Government used M16A1 rifle. As the result.... Except some killed insurgent, Many victim of insurrection killed by the Bullet of M1 Carbine rifle.

So, Insurgents of kwng-ju Killed the common citzen, Not only government officer and soldier..

  • Look, just because I'm a waegukseram doesn't mean I don't have a deep understanding of Korean history. The Kwangju Massacre was an attack of the government on the people. Your opinions are not fact, and you're a far right-wing fascist agitator. I support people power all over the world; you obviously support government and police power, Lee Myung-Bok and Bush--it's all the same evil that YOU support.

  • hoo-HA! Yes. I like Lee Myeng-bok and Bush. I also like Republican Party.

I ask you! Bush's administration is a Military Junta or insurgent? No.

Bush is Voted by American Citizen as perfectly Peaceful and right step!

Lee Myeng-bak is Voted by the Citizen of Republic of Korean as perfectly Peaceful and right step!

  • The violence rampage against the president Voted right Citzen Was the Wrong of EVIL.

Democracy? The violence rampage against VOTE never be the DEMOCRACY.

The violence rampage against VOTE is just Fucking commiting an outrage and the enemy of Democracy.

You have not a capability about Korean Politics and Democracy. It is because not of " you are wae-guk-sa-ram".Because of Just Your Fucking Ignorance about "Democracy".

  • LibertyKorea// you were saying violence against Rep. prez LEE MYUNGBAK is rampage.

Why did REPUBLICANS (한나라당) try to IMPEACH the prez in 03, BLOCKED congress, and THREW much more violent demonstration in 04?

    You don't make sense.

  • I know you're a sock puppet.

  • 당신은 왜 그런 바보인가?

  • You are a pitiful sack of shit. Your facts are totally wrong, and as an American I lived in Korea for 3 years. I was never spit at, and "Fuck USA" was a minor, minor song. Furthermore, many American greats like Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky are highly respected in Korea. Your evil racism has no place here, you Nazi racist KKK ignorant fuck. And how dare you favorite a Ben Harper song? He'd throw you out of his concert, bigot!

  • US govt is forcing Korea to import 30month or older beef which has been proven to be risky for BSE(mad cow disease)

why should korea import that while other countries import 20 or 24month beef with restrictions?

The Korean protests seem very fair. Why can't they refuse the meat we don't even eat?

  • Shut up you Fat korean beef eater. Koreans eat dogs all the time. Mad cow disease is your destiny.

  • Ad hominem attacks only lessen your argument. No, Koreans don't eat dog "all the time," and many urban Koreans have NEVER eaten dog. It's a rural thing, and it is dying out, not that it's even the issue here, you ignorant xenophobic racist FOX News zombie.

  • butt//

Korean eating dog? yeah. they're not ashamed of it. Why should they? it's their culture

What's your definition of right and wrong? Why is eating dog something wrong and beef not? what judges that?

  • cirenow, you are totally right. You can not judge one culture through the lens of another. buttandthebuttons better go back to making really, really crappy claymation vids.

  • "If people let the Government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as Souls who live under tyranny."

    Thomas Jefferson

  • Lee mung bak

he was fucking born in japan not south korea.

    he's a traitor.

    he's a fucking bitch.

  • A lot of Koreans are born in Japan and a lot of Japanese are born in Korea and some people like my mother's side are Korean and Japanese so the mentality you present is stigma and ignorance.

  • seouldave is part black, too, you idiot! Of course blacks can be racist, like you are against Asians and Natives. Please don't use the word "Indian." My grandfather is not from India, you asshole.

  • mayb, Don't fuck with the Bear. You are such an asshole who has clearly never been out of the country. I'm from Idaho, and I know your kind. They're called Klansmen, and yes, I am part black, and if you say something about that, you will be fucked up beyond repair. The army is mobilizing from three continents to kick your sad ass. You started it, you fuck face!

  • You racist asshole. Fuck you, man!

  • you are a fucking nigga~you know what? eventually, i know why you had to switch to korea from China, DID all Chinese always say a word in front of you "neige, neige, neige"in chinese that means"and",sounds very similar with "nigga",right??you felt really desperated about that, right?my dog??

  • shojik, I have been accommodating, and I have let you say a lot because I've given you the benefit of the doubt as a foreigner with poor English skills. however,m use of the N word is hate speech, and I don't tolerate that word on my channel. You are banned. Xie xie!

  • mayb880, fuck you you racist fuck face. You are the reason there is so much trouble and violence in the world today. I extended a branch of peace, and you broke it. You sad little puke. Fuck off you Nazi racist KKK militia man douche bag. You have brought out the wrath of the bundangbear army! Peace...

  • Look, mayb880, take your racist crap elsewhere. It won't be tolerated here again. Please speak with respect. As for Samsung, they are yet another big bad corporation, why not boycott Sinopec, HSBC, Microsoft, GM, Ford, Sony, AT&T; they are all of the same ilk. When you single out a Korean company alone, then it becomes racist. Now, most Koreans do NOT eat dog. Some do. I have, and I'm not Korean. That is a common racial slur that is inappropriate here. Please watch my other Korean vids!

  • 국제주의 국가주의 는 아니고!

  • seouldave69 , I WILL STUDY HARD, THANK YOU FOR RRMINDING MY ENGLISH ABILITY~

  • OH~~~30bucks?? to pay that hour i fucked you mom screamed like piggy style on the bed??haha...i love you ,dog..haha..douche bag??i admit that shit, but you got to know literally you are the person who decorated bunches of douche bags around the mouth, did you feel your month stink sometimes??ohoh..i like the way you talk, old white trash dumpster

~ oh you made more ??cool..dog~just show off your redneck relatives who lived in fucking IDAHO ,that fucking country side place!!

  • shojik, just for the record, seouldave69 is of African and European heritage, so how can he be "white trash?" We're not all "purebred." I, too, am part Native American, part European, so the term "white trash' is simply used incorrectly here.

  • plus, your ugly face makes me sicko which let me think of a fat ass pig who saw porno as well as making masturbation in the couch. i am sorry to write a such comment about your face ,but words are all from heart~

  • You really need to study English. Is that English? I can't fucking tell. Go back to school, you uneducated peasant. "Making masturbation" makes NO SENSE. Do you need an English teacher? I get 30 bucks an hour, you douche bag!

  • u know wut? u motherfucka white trash, first of all, i couldn't beleive you are 40 years old uneducated turkey. i was thinking you just a growing-up redneck kid knew nothing about things out of town, alright..based on your background of education that i have to repeat what i said to make you clear, u are a mothafuck shit who saw the porno jacked off in the couch, did i actually make sense to you?? you funny, son!!

  • anyone who supports american goods deserved to die tbfh we need to destroy this tyranical regime and the only way to do it is monaterily

    boycott all us goods

we support you korea, dont eat the diseased infected meet

  • Seouldave,

I wouldn't call them thugs. I am calling you and the other "baek su" behind these demos thugs.

  • altheia3, you are the racist THUG. BAKA! I'm just an English teacher from America who supports people power. I used to live in Japan, too, and if this was happening in Japan, I'd probably support the people. Don't you get it, baka? It's about the PEOPLE, not nationalism and ethnicities. Why can't we ALL be HUMAN? Baka!

Bundangbear is a hero. Shame on you, altheia3, you coward with no vids hiding behind your racist page.

  • Seouldave69,

I don't remember when I put that "Why can't we all be Japanese" on there. Does that make you angry. Don't I have a right to say what I feel?

Koreans like you need to learn science. I am vegetarian (for 20 years) and anti-FTA, and yet I know lies when I see them.

    Budangbear shame on you!

  • aletheia3, I am NOT Korean. I am an American of European and African heritage, so what are you talking about? I don't need to be Korea to support democracy, something you obviously do not support. Everyone, look on his website, it says, "Why can't we ALL be Japanese?" You do have a right to say as you wish, even if it is racist and xenophobic. If there was a Japanese KKK, you'd be Grand Master, baka.

  • altheia3, would you call Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Yi Sun Shin thugs? There's no difference here. These are FREEDOM FIGHTERS. Shame on you, sir, for being an elitist anti-democracy Japanese racist.

  • Sure he's a crook, but he was voted into power -- that's DEMOCRACY.

Another part of liberal democracy is giving people the right to choose, isn't it? Let the Korean people choose to eat American beef or not. Isn't that democracy? How about the lone protester (for the FTA) who was threatened. IS that democracy? Korean netizens and protesters are thugs.

Seems to me you are whoring yourself for English business. Shame on you sir.

  • altheia3, your profile reads, "Why can't we ALL be Japanese?" STFU. Shame on you, sir, for inciting violence, racism, and xenophobia.

I'm an English teacher, too, and the thing is, most of the hogwon owners are pro-Lee Myung Bok, so, if anything, out hero here, bundangbear, is once again pro people and NOT whoring himself out to anyone, bitch!

  • they were marching to the president's house and this protest was illegal, therefore they are ought to be captured and get fines,

  • AznYoun, you have some strong points, but you must remember that legality is not the sine qua non of legitimacy. What Gandhi did was ILLEGAL. What Nelson Mandela did was ILLEGAL. Are you against them, too? As for "violence," there may be a small, small splinter group of violent protesters but most are peacefully holding candles. Look, Lee Myung Bok, Bush, Cheney, the riot police, they're the enemy of the people all over the world.

  • and the ones that u saw in the vid prolly are peaceful, but too bad for them , its cuz of the previous protests that were in south korea that were violent, and those peaceful ppl as u call it, are affected by them, and those protests are ILLEGAL, they should first do it in their own place or place that they get an approval from, they cant just do it anywhere on the road, it disrupts the traffic, and the policemen were holding them, not to take them away or something, but to stop them

  • u dont know what peace is ok? those protesters were throwing fire extinguishers and rocks, bottles and etc., if they were doing that in Russia, they can get killed ,but many police men were injured by those violent protesters , u said it the opposite way

  • 국제주의 국가주의 는 아니고!

  • I am in Busan, South Korea. We have similar protests. Guess what. No riot police have beat anyone. No riot police have arrested anyone. My job is to help monitor this stuff to protect Americans visiting and working in Korea. So I know.

Now, with Seoul, this is the issue. There are few violent. But, unfortunately, the innocent get caught up in the cross fire. Much like Taliban attacking coalition forces in Afghanistan while civilians are around. Who are the bad guys then?

  • If the riot police are trying to protect the president, then why is it not happening in other places? Why are they so peaceful down here. Why is no one getting beat down here? Perhaps the issue is in Seoul.

Now, democracy is dead because the elected official worked out an agreement with another country (aka HIS JOB)? Ok. Your view on this is far too limited.

  • Seoul is the seat of government and contains in the greater metropolitan area some 40 percent of all Korean population.

  • cdcchristian, the "bad guys" are LMB, the governments ,the chaebols, Bush, Cheney, the rich fucks that have all the power and money and don't care about the people. We're the people, aren't we? POWER TO THE PEOPLE! FREE THE PEOPLE!

  • Really, seouldave69? That is your response out of the facts I put forward? Mainly, the fact that violence is only happening in Seoul and not other cities, which begs the question of how can we declare 'democracy is dead' when the only occurance of violence happens in Seoul after a few people decide to become unorderly and attack riot police? Stick to the argument, and drop the useless rhetoric.

  • These people have every right to protest. My mom died from CJD here in the USA.

The USA continues to lie to all of us. The beef is NOT safe. Very sad to watch my Mom die of this disease which was confirmed by autopsy.

  • im very sad for ur mom and yes... these ppl do have the rights to protest... i just wanna go to korea and fight with them

  • KoreanBabo410, You are clearly no "babo." SUPPORT THE PEOPLE! Tae Han Minm Guk!

  • kekeke im a babo in school... >.> and im a bit slow at times...

  • expresspress, My sincerest sympathies go out to your family. Thank you for your courage to post the truth here! All respect--

  • hey Bundung bear,

you have lost any credibility when you said the korean police have been violent towards peaceful protesters. No! the protesters have blocked traffic and impeded business as well as spread lies about this issue so much so that even korean farmers are suffering because they dont trust them either. They have also attacked the police, disobeyed orders to desist including the woman in question who got kicked in the head. See the videos on korean blogs for proof!

  • tjfortunato, a VERY few violent schism protesters DO NOT REPRESENT the thousands of PEACEFUL marchers carrying only candles and Korean flags and singing old Korean protest songs. These violent splinter groups do not represent the masses, and may even be government supported. The masses are peaceful, yet want understandable change. You're being brainwashed, my friend, by the anti-democracy Korean blogs you speak of. There are 10 times more blogs in support of the protests.

  • To all: my comments about samsung goes with Hyundai and LG as well as the farmers. They are all interest groups that have control of the korean economy. It is no secret the level of connections these companies have on the korean economy, and the president of korea was trying to break through these connection in order to get the FTA passed. The koreans would have benefited greately by the FTA, but now the the koreans wanted to protect their rice first, and now beef, i hope to hell it doesn't pass

  • burger, I still find it hard to believe that a chairman of Hyundai, LMB, will work to break the chaebols. He is Mr. Chaebol. That's like asking Bush, an oilman, to bring down high gas prices!

  • burger, why is the Samsung camera I just bought "Made in China"? And Korean still buy it, of course. It's complex, and now in this global econ9oym, the people all over the world are getting fucked by big business all over the world. Samsung=Hyundai=Sony=Microsoft=LMB=Bush, same same

  • Are you a government contractor for the IMB administration? You must be.

  • Is LMB a capitalist robber baron or a president? His approval rating is 18 % now, so I find it spurious that this FTA has 2/3 approval. Cite your source, please?

  • This reminds me of thr Solidarity Protests in Poland and the peaceful protests in the Czech Repulbic. It also reminds me of the coup in Thailand. I was there, and it was peaceful. Tourists were taking pics of monks walking by tanks. It seems you and I will lose if the Korean economy goes down, and that DID NOT happen in Thailand. The new airport opened next week.

  • I think this issue shows that we need to stop supporting the korean economy with imports. Show the koreans how much they actually depend on us, and if they want to fabricate news about mad cow disease, they can go back to their chinese mothers.

  • The issue is about people everywhere uniting against big evil governments, whether in Korea or USA. I wish this was going on in USA against Dictator Bush.

  • bundangbear: What don't you get. The korean government is trying to break the hold companies like samsung and LG along with the farmers and other special interest groups have on korea. Why do you think beef is so expensive in korea. The farmers want to keep it that way. Samsung ownes the government and the koreans support it. There is no democracy in korea; it is a samsung monarchy with the koreans playing a long.

  • burger, you're trying to say the former Hyundai chairman LMB is now going to fight the chaebols? I find that laughable. He's a tool of big business, not the one to fight it. Why don't YOU get it straight? It's about the PEOPLE versus business/government. I'm a people person; you are not.

  • bundangbear: so you enjoy buying overly priced beef from the korean farmers and overly priced, substandard electronics from samsung because the koreans don't allow other businesses to compete in their market. It is a psychological monopoly these companies have on korea

  • I eat AUSTRALIAN BEEF usually here in Korea. Honestly, it's better than US beef.

  • bundangbear: i wish this was going on in the us against the dictator Bush as well, but there are reasons to go against bush, but not free trade in korea.

  • burger, you are full of shit. If anyone really believes LMB is out to reign in corporate control of Korea, you are delusional. Ask any Korea. He was Hyundai chairman.

  • Maybe it's much more complex. Maybe its is about the PEOPLE, the peole everywhere, all over the world tired of getting fucked by their governemnts

  • seouldave69: it is about the koreans supporting their monarchy. They must love the high prices. I mean, i had a korean friend that said if he doesn't buy korean products other koreans will die!!! Crazy, huh?

  • burger, so now you're saying it's wrong to buy locally made products? What kind of fucked up thinking is that? I think it's important to support local enterprise. BUY LOCAL is what Americans are always saying with grassroots connections. I'm impressed by how many products here in my apt are made in Korea. In Japan, everything was made in China. I respect Korea more for that. Even China, all the products in my hotels were made in China.

  • seouldave69: it isn't wrong to buy locally, but it is wrong to protect your country from competition. Why do you think things are so expensive in korea: protectionism!!!!!

  • burger, Koreans are NOT descended from the Chinese. Koreans are believed to be descendants of Altaic or proto-Altaic speaking tribes, linking them with Mongolians, Tungusics, Turkics, and other Central Asians. Archaeological evidence suggest proto-Koreans were Altaic-language-speaking migrants from south-central Siberia, who populated ancient Korea in successive waves from the neolithic age to the Bronze Age, not your "Middle country."

  • That's why you guys keep wiping Chinese trace from your history and culture?Take a look at the archaic architectures in your country, how many Chinese character on it? Denying everything just means self-contempt.further more, the point for korean is to identify Who you are? not how great you are! Mad cow problem is just an excuse, you just wanna export your products to USA,in the mean while, prohibit importing from USA? How selfish you are? USA army even protect you in your territory.

  • crownwang81, I am a white American from Boise, Idaho who teaches in Korea. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT "YOU GUYS." I am not Korean, but if I was ,I would be pissed at China for trying to steal my ancestry. Fuck off Korea could kick China's ass in a fair fight man vs man.

  • seouldave69 I am so surprised that you are a teacher. I wonder what you can teach to your students? Is "fuck" the first English word you taught to your student? Korean imported too many immoral teachers ,like you. So recently they practiced what they learned from these teachers in their primary and high schools. Fight Man VS Man? Do you know any skills about fight?

  • Dave, buddy, PLEASE take it easy and show respect to my viewers from China. I, personally, respect China very much. Don't let your feelings get into the issues. You're not even Korean.

  • crownwang81, I was a teacher in CHINA for a year, in Beijing, before coming to Korea, so China imported this "immoral" teacher FIRST, so China must be implicated in your argument, too. I've lived in both countries, and China is dirty, polluted, and the people are rude. Korea is clean, efficient, and pays its teachers fairly. I made 6500RMB a month in China. That's dirt, man. I bet you still make less than 1000RMB a month!

  • seouldave69, yes what you said is right,But we realized that it's wrong to hire such a immoral teacher like you who polluted our air.So it's good that you get out of China, I bet the air would be recovered soon. how much I earn is none of your business. But how much you earn in China just makes me laugh, 6500RMB

is not a ideal figure to show off, especially in Beijing

  • crowmnangel81, Beijing can't get enough white English teachers. I get offers all the time, and I could be back tomorrow, but not at those slave wages. You don't know the ESL business at all, do you? I make almost TEN TIMES that is Seoul, so why would I not agree with the Koreans? Besides, here's another example of Chinese coming in and discussing totally off topic issues in a KOREAN subject. You stay in China; I'll stay in Korea (and Thailand and Philippines and Japan). Capice?

  • seouldave69 when did I tell you that I am in China? Actually, I am not working in customer complaints department,so i am not the right person for you to complaint about your slave wages.Of course ,you can choose where to work? nobody forced you to work in China. I just worry about that so many students learned coarse word from you. if your students know your talking style on the internet, they will feel ablush.

  • Look, crownwang81, I NEVER said or implied in any way that I teach bad words to my students. You do understand that this is youtube, where people are free to use strong language if they so wish .This is NOT my job. I would NEVER use the language I use here at work. This my healthy way to vent, ok, fuck face? There, have some soju. We should go drinking sometime. Really. And before you start more shit, NO, I NEVEr go to work drunk; I do enjoy drinking soju at night. Xie xie, friend. Fucker!

  • u such a pussy, luckily, you white asshole got fucked out of my country~ itz sympathetic that you got only 6500RMB in Beijing, compared with Japanese who taught Japanese in suburbs of Harbin, hopefully ,you understand why I call you pussy man~

  • Now I make more than YOU here in Seoul, so fuck off. Your country is built on the back of child labor.

  • Sounds like you're backpedaling and filibustering to get away from the fact that LMB's dirty deals were done sans consent of the people.

  • Try telling that to the Philippine maids/nannies that live in Kangnam. Hogwon teachers are essentially servants of the elite; thus, working class. WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! FREE THE PEOPLE!

  • But, seriously, dude, aren't we getting awful off track here. The protests are going to be the biggest this weekend. It's already changed since this vid was posted. But I still support the common man, not the ruling elites. I Myung Bok SOLD THE PEOPLE OUT KISSING BUSH'S ASS.

  • I've been all over Korea, too. A lot of really small places aren't accessible by car, and I don't have a car. I went to Mokpo. That place saw few foreigners.

  • Is that a video ghame? You seem like you play a lot of video games.

  • Real life happens in Gangnam, too. Now you're being all elitist about location., so what if i live around some other foreigners. My experiences are as valid as the next man's. And don't be puittin down hogwon teachers. We bust our asses for these brats so we can live in a country that treats us all as second class citizens. so when i see the people rise up, i think revolution, people power societal change, and maybe a new culture

  • Sounds like a film with real substance. That will be remembered...yawn...

  • Hey, I got out of Seoul. I lived in Bundang, and I went to many places big and small, but to tell the truth, when my week vacations came, I wanted to go to Thailand, the Philippines, or Malaysia or somewhere abroad. Can you blame a working class person for wanting to see the world outside USA, but also outside Korea.

  • That's the point Dave was trying to make all along.

  • Raydeen, dude, it's ok to disagree. No need to be a dick.

  • At 556,964, Kangnam is the THIRD most populous gu of Seoul with 26 dong of its own. Not a small minority. Furthermore, it's the major transportation center and commerce center. Also, tell my fellow teacher in 영월 population 16,000 way out in Gangwon-do that there are no hogwons out of city centers. There are 3 in the area with foreigners!

  • Anyone who says "I know more than you" knows nothing, for if they really did know more, they would have the WISDOM to not belittle other people. Even if you have knowledge from your mail order bride, you are not wise.

  • "But Seoul has thousands of dongs" said Driving2Heaven. NO. Seoul only has 522 dongs, source Seoul city website, so please get your facts straight. Dave, don't get carried away either. But, D2H, you are WRONG here. If Seoul only has 522 dongs, then your "fact" is a gross exaggeration like all your "facts." Again, even if there aren't foreigners, do NOT tell me these people have NEVER seen a foreigner. They MUST have taken a short trip (Everland, Kangnam, Gwanghwamun) and seen a foreigner.

  • Of course you're a against any act within any country. You're corporate elite. IBM provided the machines that processed the victims of the Holocaust. All business people are like this. Some of us work for a living. Tell me where you live OR YOU ARE LYING BECAUSE I LIVE IN KANGNAM AND YOU'RE IN USA!!!

  • to DRIVING.....

  • Dave, take it easy. People on YT have the right to stay anonymous. That's not a cool question, to ask where someone lives. Otherwise, I still don't think he lives in Korea, either. He was probably here in the 1980's or something to get his mail order bride.

  • Why the hell do all my hangukseram friends and STUDENTS even some from rich families and fellow hogown teachers all support the upholsterers and are against beef. I live in Kangnam. Where do you live? Tell me, or you do not live in Seoul, and you are liar and stirring up trouble.

  • BULLSIHT! YOU DO NOT LIVE IN KOREA. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE FOREIGNERS? THEY ARE ALL OVER.

Just by saying "I know more than you" makes you sound like a pompous elitist ass that supports the police and Lee Myung Bok and is against the people. You're an elitist that would be against protesters in America too. I get you. Well, some of us have to work for a living.

  • When I see soldiers running over and raping little girls and throwing puppies off cliffs, I think MAD Mad American Disease and still I'm American like you why?

  • You do know the story. Good, but you've received the media bias of American news here, which makes me serouoisly doubt you are in Korea. Where are you? Yongsan? There is no worry of revolution or any civil unrest in Kangnam, the economic heart of Seoul. Come down and get some samgyeopsal with me, if you dare leave hooker Hill! Ha ha!

  • I like in Kangnam, am American from Idaho, where do you live? There is no worry here. Are you a soldier who's never been off base? Obviously, because you get CNN. Why don't you go off base once in a while and learn something? Or if you get of base, do you leave Itaewon? Really, tell me where you live, or are you in USA talking shit. Some of us Americans have to live here in Korea, ok? Got it? Good.

  • You need to be zapped with a taser!

  • That sounds pretty racist to me.

  • I invited him down to Kangnam for samgyeopsal.
