I have never made fondant but after watching your video I think i want to give it a try. Can you add flavor to fondant? and if not do you think that using flavored marshmellows is a good idea?? In oklahoma they sell marshmallows in strawberry & French vanilla flavor.. Do you think that it will have an effect on the texture?

@93princess40 the marshmellows do not need anything to melt, but you can put some water in there and it will help them melt a little more consistent and faster. He just greased the bowl with the crisco then later in the video added some more crisco to the fondant so that it does not get dry and crack.

@rhonda1304 not before you melt the marshmellows i don't think because it's still in that frim stage from when you bought them. after you melt them is ok though

But if you add it to icing, it's a bit more "sensitive" to liquids because it's more runnier and spreadable if you get what i mean by that

Just for all the British people, I went to Wikipedia for you. Try Cookeen instead of Crisco. I make no guarantees, of course, since I've never even seen that product.
@LNiaa you need to add food coloring then work it together you can add it with the marshmallows but i wouldn't i would add if once its done then split it into how many different colors you want it to be in and food colour them and work each one until its fully incorporated to each thats about it
