When do you suppose the improved windows version will be out? Having just spent two dollars on it, I'm a little bit miffed that I spent two dollars for a controller that is not as responsive as I would like, but I like it so far.
We plan to have a command-line version of the app that should be more efficient. The issue with the windows version is the way it sends key commands to applications. There will be an update in the description on the appstore when it's done.
Hi, first of all, I'm the friend who worked on this app with him. A preference pane is kinda overkill for something like this, as it would require the server to run as a service. That would create all sorts of new potential problems. This is the best way for now.
Well, I'm glad you guys came out with this. I always wanted a wireless game controller for my Mac. I won't buy now but I'll be sure to keep an eye on your progress.
I don't program for the Mac but you guys look into I/O Kit, HID or anything API related? If it was refined and seamless, I'd pay more than what you're asking and there's plenty more like me. I spent more than $200 on the App store within a month. Apple just makes it too easy to empty my pockets.
Thank you! We're thinking about HID, which would allow emulation of an actual game controller. The thing is though, we have to have this be cross platform to have as much of a userbase as possible.
Yes; the more people are interested in this the more likely we are to allow for custom configurations and things like that. We may release a more enhanced version with more possibilities like skinning, HID, etc, and sell that one for much more. This version, which just went on sale today, is aimed at the casual gaming market, which seems to be most of the people who play games on their iphones/ipods. We have kept more professionalesque apps in mind though, and will churn out something soon.
this makes me want an itouch

Terrific. Thank you, but is there a ETA?

You need to thrown in a option to skin custom overlays and to map as many buttons in the overlays.
And the "server app" is weak. All the iPhone apps that have these have always turned me off. How about a preference pane so it's out of the way.?

Good luck on your success.
