  • Is it just me or is this shit complicated !!!

  • Oh man, i wish someone would teach me how to do this, and you wonder why people like android

  • For All Nokia and microsoft Funs

in the future we must creat more apps, the android gonna go to hell

  • Thats cool, just build one and run it on my N8.

    thats cool.

Looking for more video like this.

  • Nice, Neat and cool ;)

  • I cant seem to run it.

When I try to build it says Could not find make command: mingw32-make.exe in the build environment

  • at 3:30, it should say 'createpackage -i TextList_template.pkg debug-gcce' as the new syntax. Besides the text background could be red so that your eye could catch it more easily.

  • do i have to learn C++ or java before am fully able to make this professionally ??

  • @jackraidr2008 Yes, but you can learn the basis fast ....

  • @Aymeric182 i know JAVA basics .. will it work xD

cause i know the basics of every programming language is almost the same !

  • @ValentineAaqilMahmod c++ is a bitch, indeed..

  • When i type a Project name, it takes me to the next window (0:43) but i can't continue because i didnt have any SDK's or that :S

What is that? How can i fix it?

  • amazing

  • what program is that

  • Do any of the Qt widgets work on S60v3 FP1/FP2? I tried running this tutorial app and all it does is crash and reboot my E90 and E52. I can successfully run an app without widgets, but as soon as I add something as simple as a "Hello World" label, either phone crashes.

Raycast demo works fine on both devices. Weather demo crashes the E90 and works on E52, but all the text is corrupted. Every other demo crashes the two phones.

  • I found cause of the reboot the problem, it's an incompatibility between Qt and FontRouter. The garbled text occurs when the phone's main font is not the standard S60 font (my phones use a Chinese font).

  • Thank you very much! This was very helpful.

  • programs crap keep getting errors, its just all over the place and not user friendly

  • i get an error like everyone else, program file doesn't exist

  • @adityat90:

The syntax [at 03:27] now is: createpackage -i TextList_template.pkg debug-gcce

On windows7, I have to start "Carbide C++" and "Qt for symbian command prompt" in Administrator mode in order to have it work properly.

  • I get an error

Error: Package description file 'debug-gcce' does not exist!

  • Should be

    createpackage -i TextList_template.pkg debug-gcce

  • I have a problem. When I press that emulator button, in the rightdown corner it says "Refreshing workspace" forever and does nothing. What should I do?

  • After some time a window comes up which says:

"'Launching Emulator Debug (WINSCW) [S60_3rd_FP2_SDK_v1.1]' has encountered a problem.

    Program file does not exist.

    What to do? :(

  • thx alot will be w8ing for more videos thanks alot again

  • wait a min', so does that mean we can create our custom program?

  • true

  • nice tutorial man...

what program do you use to capture your screen?

  • Thank You for the tutorial !!

I had some great difficulties to start with the QT for S60, but finally I have removed my default E51 SDK and installed N97 SDK, so I was able to code and run the QT project in the emulator, because the emulator wan't show up.

It runs smoothly at my E51, but one thing looks ugly - buttons are very bright and the text on it is almost invisible..

    Anyway it's just great.

    My platform:

    - Windows 7 evo test b7100 x64 (want to buy one with my new PC)

    - Carbide C++ 2.0

  • oh thats so cool - i'm very curious what you guys canmake with Qt in the future

  • I dont have that Qt C++ Widget page. what I do?

  • Maybe, You are not in the "Qt C++" perspective. You can switch to it with the tab on the upper right in Carbide.

If that does not help, You can go to "Window->Show View->Other..." and select Qt->"Qt C++ Widget Box".

  • wow looks just like microsoft visual C#, C++, and BASIC.

  • That's look so simple! maybe too simple.. I like my control on everything... but it still look amazing, I must try QT... and now..
