Maybe this has already been covered, I don't know and I don't feel like reading ALL the threads. But did Torrecampo's head hit Pacquiao's face at the same time of the punch?? The video is grainy and I can't make it play in slow motion.
It's just really odd that Pacquio reacted that way (groggy) from a body shot. Head shots make you groggy. Body shots just fucking hurt and you can SEE the pain usually on the fighter who gets hit in the body.
That punch was not low. That was one of the hardest punches I've ever seen in boxing. That man literally shifted all of his body weight into that punch and it landed absolutely flush. The reason it looks like a low blow is because he hits him so hard that his fist actually deflects off of his face and catches him on the trunks as well.
I don't care who you are, if you get caught with a shot like that, you're going to sleep. And I love Manny, but this was legit, he got caught... shit happens.

I have no idea why people would call this a low blow. If he was hit in the groin, don't you think he would have grabbed that area? As you can clearly see in the video, Pac did not hold any part of his body at any moment to suggest he was knocked out by a body shot. Instead he seemed dizzy and unaware of his surroundings, which suggests he was knocked out by a head shot. Even BoxRec explains it as a head KO.
@blindthief Stop at 0:09, no way it was a head shot, Manny's head was well over Torrecampo's left shoulder as he was leaning right (Manny was leaning right also), and his left glove was in contact BELOW Manny's belt. Torrecampo's right glove was OUTSIDE and hidden as he was leaning right. It's a LOW BLOW.

Manny was a great fighter for a very short period of time. When he beat Barrera, Morales rematches, Marquez first fight, and that was really it for me. Those were his signature wins if u ask me. I have no idea why people would call this a low blow. If he was hit in the groin, don't you think he would have grabbed that area? As you can clearly see in the video, Pac did not hold any part of his body at any moment to suggest he was knocked out by a body shot. Instead he seemed dizzy and unaware of his surroundings, which suggests he was knocked out by a head shot. Even BoxRec explains it as a head KO.

@blindthief Stop at 0:09, no way it was a head shot, Manny's head was well over Torrecampo's left shoulder as he was leaning right (Manny was leaning right also), and his left glove was in contact BELOW Manny's belt. Torrecampo's right glove was OUTSIDE and hidden as he was leaning right. It's a LOW BLOW.

I was just testing you, I've seen my own share body shot KO's (Bute-Andrade 2, Hatton-Castillo), and this clearly was not a body shot (low blow). ONLY a face shot can make on see stars. BTW, Manny is NOT my favorite, despite being Filipino myself. But, I have great respect for him nonetheless.

They think it's a sin or something along those lines to not be a big fan of his. It makes me laugh all the time. Pac is good but I think he's very overrated. I'm glad he finally gave Marquez a 3rd chance. It's the first time in a long, long time since I've been excited about an upcoming Pac fight. Hope it's a war.

Manny was a great fighter for a very short period of time. When he beat Barrera, Morales rematches, Marquez first fight, and that was really it for me. Those were his signature wins if u ask me. Beating guys like david diaz, De la hoya (at catchweight) ricky hatton (who was never a great fighter anyway), Cotto (at a catchweight who was a limited fighter), Clottey, Margarito were all bullshit fights. I dont really believe he is an atg. He is definitally the greatest asian fighter of all time
