  • The Movie Is Coming out soon

  • @Alex03000351 That is gonna be fantastic!! I've recently re-watched your trailer and thought about the movie. Please keep me posted on it so I can do updates. I also now have the Voyagersguidebook Facebook page, you can post it on there too.

  • @Alex03000351 I'm Sorry, I thought you were somebody else, that's why I made that comment about the movie 'trailer'. What movie are you referring to? A Voyagers movie?

  • Didnt he shoot himself in the head by accident?

  • @EBOWARRIOR Yes, that was on the set of his other show Cover Up in 1984, with prop gun blanks.

  • Man, this brought back memories.

  • So Phineas had to "graduate", but since he lost the book he pretty much became a mimbo! I think this series might be cool if they did a reboot. Especially if they kept the simple vanishing concept. Just "woosh"!

  • @lonstar70 Poor Phineas, lol, he was somewhat of a mimbo, but if you watch the real series he had much more depth of character than that. I would love to see a reboot. I have some picks for a new Bogg, but I really can't see anyone other than Jon-Erik playing the role. It was pretty much tailored for him after he impressed the casting agents. They originally wanted an older man, like a grizzled pirate type, but then they re-wrote the character.

  • @Voyagersguidebook I liked "Cover up", too. He really started to come of his own around then. Wonder 80's Hollywood would have been like had he survived?

  • @lonstar70 I have been laughing for 2 days now hysterically over your Bogg is a mimbo comment!!! hahahaha omg I love it--Voyagers' rock!

  • @nod19 :D

  • lol a movie was this a show i know it was it was better

  • @theENGLISHconection LOL. The show was so much better. Actually, this is a rehash using the Pilot episode and an episode called Voyagers of the Titanic, only really cut up..with inserted 'Space' scenes and bad dubbing to make it '1984.' It was a direct to video release, probably not long after Jon-Erik Hexum's death.

  • Thanks so much. loved this as a kid!

  • Wow, that opening was ... something else! Glad I missed this one. We'll just stick to the box DVD set, OK? ;-)

  • @BKL8008 Agreed! LOL. Though I liked the paintings. :D

  • This was part of the saturday morning kids lineup back in the 80's. never missed it, good post. Never knew there was a movie though!!!

  • @speshalist1 Thanks. This was a direct to video feature made in 1984 after Jon-Erik died, they basically chopped and edited the pilot and 'Voyagers of the Titanic' together and if you watch it through you'll see some weird over dubs and inserted 'space' computer scenes, lol. Most fans would agree, it's best to stick to the original series.

  • there is a link for the whole movie

  • The good one always have to die. Even the Prince from the Kindred: The Embraced series! FUCK MAN, can't win for loosing!

  • You know what I like

about the pilot from a filmmaker's point of view? It shows all it's seems.Like the scene of Phineas Bogg flying over New York you can tell is a harness shot.(I'd be able to pull off a simula fling effect like that with my creation station camera right in my very own bedroom, if it hadn't broke!)

Only you know what I tend to think about

watching this G? I tend to think how lost & confused Phineas must've been upon entering New York with all those buildings.

  • @VoyagersOmni Phineas was a pirate, most likely 17th or 18th century, so he would have no idea what skyscrapers are..however, his omni did go up to 1970, so if he had any Voyages in that era, he would have known about the skyscrapers, still, it was the fact that he practically landed on the ledge and nearly fell off that scared him into saying that. He probably didn't have many 'modern' voyages.

  • @Voyagersguidebook I know but still the thought of at that height as well would be enough to chock anybody! If you wonder what the creation station is it was a video camera that came with a green screen but the it was a real rip. The thing broke as soon as I pulled it out of the box!

  • I remember this...has been a while!!! = )

  • This aired on Sundays at 7:00pm on NBC

    opposite Hardcastle & McCormick & 60

    minutes.

  • i used to watch this when i was a kid. reminds me of old days. thansk for uploading them.

  • the computer voice sounds like the computer from logan's run

  • That's cool to know. I haven't seen that movie in years! I just added it to my netflix. Thanks. :)

  • YES! I was getting ready to type that when I read your comment!

  • Where can I find episodes of the series. I use to love the tv show.

  • You can buy it officially on dvd pretty much all over, I saw Amazon has knocked it down to 17 dollars. Someone on here posted a bunch of episodes, name is litlbit2001. Hope that helps.

  • I think the drawing was just drawn out of the artist's head, it wasn't necessarily from the Trial..but now that you mention it..it could be, I'll try and work that in, I've already started. "-)

  • I absolutely love this show, but this movie adaptation is beyond awful. The best part of the opening is the theme music, and it's gone. What the heck were they thinking. And the incredibly sappy backstory and the idiot computer... oh, well, back to watching the old episodes.

  • LOL..Don't worry I do share your sentiments! It makes me want to RUN for the dvds.

  • Thanks, now I'm excited. Your mom was right. :D Seeing as they took down my Red Alert Video, :( I can chop up the clips and use it for Filler on this one too. :D

  • Tom, you and I have the same ideas! I would definitely use that...I'm almost done uploading this thing, and then I will start working on it. It's been a long time since I made a good video, This should be fun. :)

  • Hey Tom, Sorry for not responding, I have seen your messages. I've just been so busy with things here, only finding time to export and drop in these clips..you know, that's an AWESOME idea to do it! So funny, I was listening to the funky theme this morning and thinking how I would like to make a new video for it! I'll get on that idea as soon as all this is posted. The bad weather really slows down my connection so it's harder to upload things.

  • Good Gracious!!ROFLMBOPIMP!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • OMG, you never saw this, did you? Isn't it hilarious, I love how they duck their heads through the portal, roflol. That has to be added to the 'Voyager dance' ROLFMBO!

  • BTW, any more? :)

  • Yeah, I can post the rest. This was never made available on dvd. If you go to my site on the 'Misc. Voyagers' stuff page, you can see scans of the original tape boxes for it.

  • Whoa. I had no idea footage like this existed. Was this some concept/content that they tried out and then rejected? Or was it a complete re-do/re-package?

Unused clips. Who knew? And different music. Thanks for posting this!

  • I think this was something they decided to make for VHS, as it came out a year after the series ended and JEH died. It wasn't the entire series, just two episodes combined, with additional voiceovers, effects. Now that I see it again, the opening is real cool. But I still prefer the entire original series. :)

  • Yes, nothing beats the original show, but this is really cool to see. I wonder why they made this movie. Were they trying to promote the show and maybe even pick it up again? I would love to see more of this ;)

Thanks so much for posting it!!

  • Thank you!! That's awesome. So was this movie made after Jon died or did Jon still participate in some way here? Like voice overs or something? I love the unused footage!

  • Your welcome. That was a neat suggestion to put it up. I think it was made after he died, or at least released then. There are parts where you can hear Jeffrey's '13 yr old' voice suddenly overpower the 11yr old voice, lol. And there is a crucial change right when Bogg says, 'What year?' And Jeffrey says..'1984'..that was odd. I'm thinking I should just post the rest of it?

  • Well done, VG!

  • thanks for sharing this... the mark on the right side of the 'monitor' at 3:45 reminds me a lot of the AOL logo.

  • Cool, I didn't notice that!

  • no problem. :)

According to the description from 'MUZE' this video release which came out in 1985 according to the tape box itself is made up of the first 2 episodes of the series.

Seeing this again makes me want to pull out my copies of Voyagers, Cover-Up and The Making of a Male Model to watch again.
