That's not drip coffee. It's burned coffee. You should have the grounds in the filter and pour the water (that you have let cool slightly from a boil) over the grouds. Let it steep for a bit while stirring and after about 2 to 4 minutes you will have a fresh NON burned cup of tasty coffee.
this isnt really a drip method, but rather a turkish/middle eastern brew. You are brewing it in a separate container, then straining it - much different than a drip. I bet its tasty though.
i am no expert but i think people who know about coffee would say something like NO! dont do that!... i heard somewhere that in doing what you just did you "burned" the cofee, but... again, im no expert

..hi...where i`m i giong wrong I do it the same way but my H2o is at 190--205 temp the fresh grounds sit in it for 3--4 min,s
