  • @LaurenAKAHippie where online?

  • @Kadamin I'll post tomorrow. It doesn't come on until 3:00pm.

  • I saw this online yesterday... it was SOOOOO GOOD!!!! XD

  • I'm so excited to watch this movie. It comes on December 31, 2011. I'm recording it.

  • @chloebella17 what channel?

  • Even if she did exist, she wasn't validly pope. They would have went through the motions with her, ordination, installation, and all the sacraments of Holy Orders, but they would've had no effect. She would have pranced around dressed as pope during her "reign" but she would have been no more a pope than if I dress up as Mother Teresa!

  • @TheRougeHawksClan so it takes nuts to be pope?

    WHY?

    any explanation would be appreciated

  • @PorkFrog Well the pope is merely an infallible priest so the question should be rephrased to mean priest instead of pope. Now, a women cannot and never can be a priest simply because Jesus ordained men to represent him In Persona Christi during Mass. It is inappropriate to have a woman be Christ (who was a man) just as it is for a man to be The Virgin Mary!

  • What a joke. No history book will ever tell you she became Pope! She fought as a soldier, controversial enough, and fought well. Bullshit she was Pope. There is no evidence whatsoever. Why are people so intent on changing history to suit their own agendas!!! And no, I'm not religious at all.

  • @achilleanproductions She was the church does not deny it. One thing about the church its still honest

  • never happened

  • "It never happened" that's what the pope and priests wanted us to believe. She's a legend just like those popes who had married. She served the church

  • @bonhomie888 Those legends of "popes who had married" aren't legends, they are historical fact awknowledged by the Church because we all know that priestly celibacy came later on in the Latin Rite. Everyone who knows anything about this, knows that! It's not some dark secret we supress, it's common knowledge, thought of as our dark past by common misconception

  • That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Wow

  • It looks great but it never happened

  • The Jean Noblet Marseille Deck of Tarot ( c.1650) tells the truth. It has the Le Pape (Male Pope) Card and La Papesse (Female Pope) Card. Clearly the La Papesse Card is Pope Joan.

  • does anyone know where i can watch this film? it looks amazing!!

  • @TomboyPunkrocker It doesn't look amazing. It actually is. At first, you kinda find this movie boring.. Like The Young Victoria. But as go on, you actually get more interested with it. :)

  • A fuchen lier. The whole church is built on lies. May the gods shag the vanity and thirst for power out of her putrefied wits (to paraphrase Dr Kenneth Bulnt).

  • that's why we called that time the dark age. everything was so evil and unfair.

  • @BBnose it's because historians didn't know what happened, douchebag

  • i want this music...do someone know?

  • There's a lot of information out there that lends credence to this story's authenticity.

In other words, I think it probably happened.

  • why this movie is not released also in the phils?is a great movie of all time after the gladiator of rusell crowe.

  • John(always bad) Goodman ??? wtf. Great Book though .

  • book was truly amazing, unfortunately the film was made so that if you read the book so it was pretty bad

  • I wanna read this novel. For God sake. :))

  • Pope Joan makes it's way to the Red Rock Film Festival of Zion Canyon November 11, 2010!

  • I can not wait to see this movie - I read the book in my women studies class - ah what a joy!!

  • yes eindelijk ondertiteling

  • i just loveee this movie!!!

  • Sounds like a very remarkable woman.

  • stupid movie

  • what the muzic? heeeeeeeeeelppppppppppp

  • I loved this movie from the bottom of my heart! Watch it!

  • What a farce.

  • Can anyone tell me when this movie opens in Sydney Australia PLEASE ???

  • Queen Elizabeth the I of England was, in my modest opinion, the smartest woman leader of all times!!!!!!

  • Why can't people just treat each other with respect and peacefulness??? Why all the violence and beating???? All forms of violence resolve nothing-it worsens everything!

  • After seeing this movie, I conclude the following: Sicne her father was a priest who beat her mother and herself and was against the education of women. I conclude that: only either a naive woman who has no life experience, or a complete low IQ silly woman would marry a clergyman or an ultra-religious nutcase--lunatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy Unless she was forced to marry!!!!!

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy Yeah, I saw the movie too. Her father is a real psychotic zealot. It is not just Christianity but there are other religion where women are treated as lowly animals and still does in modern times.

  • You are right! A man who has high IQ and a good heart and who is self-confident about himself because he is not a misogynist, certainly knows exactly how to treat a woman and how to make her his without any sort of creepy violence and without using any creepy-weirdo stuff!

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy As an extra information, I notice that the theme regarding Joan and her father is rather similiar to the book Dragonsong by McCaffrey. In the book, a girl named Menolly takes on the role of a harper/teacher when there is none and her father's resentment towards it is clearly shown...

Joan's father is totally unrepentant to the end and even wanted to expose Joan with his dying breath.

  • @bursegsardaukar One thing though, why pretend to be a pope when in reality by doing so, she is supporting their misogynist views regarding women???? Whatever! I’m so lucky and blessed to have had a wonderful father and mother!

  • What's the music to the trailer?

  • I am reading the novel at the moment, very good and very tense. Movie should be good too.

  • intrigue, erased history, what's not to like?

  • @JayEm74 Well the Roman Catholic church disposes reports, manuscripts etc. which they consider blasphemous and might be the cause of the collapse of the whole church.
