@landrovermarv Make your own. If it's supposed to mimic offroad, you shouldn't even need a measuring tape. I made some road ones out of enormous conveyor rollers I found and some old 2X4s. Innertube to drive the front roller.
@IIcbII LOL! I never thought about what his name meant. I guess his great-grand daddy wasn't able to fork over enough of a bribe to the local nobleman to get a name like Goldstein

No you don't have to move your body to stay upright and No gyroscopic forces are needed either. You stay up by steerting the bicycle side to side to keep it under your center of gravity. Gyroscopic forces are handy for riding no handed.
@rickpaulos Sorry but it is gyroscopic forces that keep you upright on a bike. Weather you use hands or not. Hence the reason you can not stay upright when standing still. I offer this video as evidence of the fact. This will also show how the tires create gyroscopic energy and stay balanced even as you are not moving forward.
@Smallfrythetall not true, the reason you have balance while pedaling is that when your wheels are rotating, if you lean slightly on a side, the front wheel goes into that direction and the centrifuge force redresses your bike or keeps it in balance. the light weight of the wheels makes the gyroscopic forces insignificant.
@rickpaulos I hear people debate how rollers work all the time. The bottom line is it is physically no different that riding on the ground at a constant speed with a tailwind of equal speed to what your riding. It's just like a treadmill. And just like riding on the road, balance is derived from a comibination of gyroscopic force and fork rake.
wait a minute!?!?! why doesn the bike tip over? ive never seen something like this before. thought you actually have to be moving in order to have balance, hes in one spot
Nope bikes have several things keeping them up, one being gyroscopic forces (lift your front wheel up and have someone spin it then turn the fork). But it won't balance as easily as a bike in motion. More reading google precession. Headstock angle also comes into play with a bike in motion.
Eh, not too bad on the taint. That there, my friends, is a Surly Pugsley. That mufugger right there has clearance for 4.0" tires. THey had to make the fork so wide up front to fit the tire, that it has the same spacing as the rear tire. Some adventure racers use this bike, because you can put a second spare rear wheel up front in case you fry your freehub. Just swap wheels!
will get his jacobs rocked! LMAO!

@mateivornicu similar to a snow shoe, this bike is needed for terrain where you need a larger "footprint" like riding on snow/ice/sand.

Well, actually, the spinning wheels act as gyros. Otherwise anyone could do an extended track stand and have no trouble.

You're right. Nobody makes padded mountain bike shorts... it's either lycra or jeans. lol

There's also the issue of friction. Again, tell us how your inner thighs feel after you've been pedaling for a few hours.
Or, you know, get over it.
