  • Oh my That was My aunts new washer when they were in acworth Ga livin a 74 kenmore like that only no door cover on her model kenmore

  • do you plan on trying to find a matching dryer to go with it, or do you just want the washer?

  • @tubageek2006 I would love a matched set, I am on the lookout!

  • I wish appliance makers would stop trying to make every single model sleek and futuristic, I would purchase this machine brand new if I could, but instead I have to go buy a washer controlled by computers that fail. My grandmother says she would give anything to have her old kenmore washing machine back. and still uses a blender made by kenmore in 1958

  • @tubageek2006 I totally agree with you. Nothing is made to last these days, its a shame!

  • Nice washer, congrats! And what cutie is Ruthie!

  • @MrFreddy2189 Ruthie says thanks! :-)

  • such an old machine and it's to quiet.. I can't believe it

  • @Hoover7048 I was surprised too, this machine is whisper quiet, even more so than my Maytag!

  • Look at all those nifty buttons!

  • @bagelboi66 The buttons are pretty cool...

  • could you make a vid with towels???

  • Where do you find Fresh Start detergent? I haven't seen it in more than 20 years!

  • @5610winston I bought it a few years back at a grocery store in Omaha. I think its still available online.

  • Like others, I look forward to additional movies of this beauty in action. Nice Washer!

  • @mrb627 Thanks for your nice words. The washer is my winter project, its going to be a beauty!

  • Can I subscribe to you more than once?

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 I don't know... I only have this one channel...

  • Nice looking Lady Kenmore washer, would never known about these Lady K washers if it wasnt for you tube. Pretty cool washermachine, thanks for sharing it with us youtubers..

  • Such a nice vintage machine there. They are bulit to last a very long time.

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 Thanks. I am thrilled to have it... a little more detail work, and it will be a beauty!

  • @hoover1060 That's the pentaswirl agitator I believe

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 You are correct, I think the cap says "penta vane" what should it have had?

  • @hoover1060 I also known that MustangfanNC 1977 Kenmore had this same agitator, I think it's only weakness is very full loads which was why the dual action agitator was invented in 1976.

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 I haven't done a full load in this yet, I need to order one new front foot for it first, so it will be stable when it spins. I am excited about trying it out!

  • By the way, GORGEOUS machine. It looks great!

  • @MustangFanNC Thanks... still have a bit of cleaning and detailing to do, but I am vert happy with it, and am looking forward to putting it into service alongside the Maytag A608.

  • @MustangFanNC Thanks for your nice words!

  • What was the last year Kenmore's dials were push-to-start/pull-to-stop before switching vice-versa?

  • @tvtimetravel not sure, maybe by '76 or so?

  • @hoover1060 I think the last year of any pull-to-stop machines was 1975 models. The all new black panel line for 1976 was all push to stop. Possibly the bottom of the line 24-inch model was still the old way, but I can't say for sure. Machines with push to stop began appearing in 1974, with '75 having a combination of both.

  • Any woo-woo sound with this machine?

  • @vanni9283 Alas no, and I am kinda disappointed it was not there. My grandmother had a 1977 Whirlpool that made the woo-woo sound, it was almost musical. This machine is whisper quiet, the water sloshing makes more noise than the actual machine does! Its quieter than my Maytag A608!

  • @hoover1060 The quiet pak Kenmore belt-drives used a different belt that eliminated most of the operational woo-woo of the machines, especially in standard capacity machines. The large capacity machines I've seen have been a little bit louder than the standard, but either way these are VERY quiet machines. NO woo though unfortunately.

  • @MustangFanNC This machine is very quite, so much so that the water sloshing in it is what you hear the most!

  • nice machine. i have a harvest gold version of this washer without suds saver

  • @phantom3rdchannel Thanks. I was thrilled to get it, and am very pleased it works as well as it does. It just needs cleaning and polishing and it will be a beauty!
