I love how the first 95% of the show deals with getting the LED array working... then in the last two minutes he says how it's all put together with a more traditional LED display. Not hating, I just find it amusing. More to the point, I love this project, but other than for it's own sake, I'm not sure this fills an actual need... Figuring out alarm clocks isn't that big of a deal, many now use their phones, and most hotels have wake up call service. Still bad ass to make your own freaking clock

That's actually a really nice clock for something you make yourself. Seems relatively simple apart from the complicated matrix display which you replaced with 7 segments anyway which are a lot easier to use, (with the right driver IC's you also didn't use.) :P

im assuming that the clock is still on 24 hour display, cause if not, you forgot to put the am and pm display, cause without it, you may be 12 hours off with what day is being displayed

ahhh always wondered why certain things were flashing when filmed like digital clocks. cameras mostly record in 30 fps but our eyes see slower then that right? so thats why cameras pick up on the flashing but our eyes don't. correct me if im wrong

@cole909cole You are absolutely right. We see everything at less than 30 FPS. Except for race car drivers and martial artists. They were genetically engineered in Germany during WWIII to see at over 120FPS.
