@conceitedape yes thats true but for people who dont have that extra this helmet is at least a good alternative. I like it and until I get my full 501st armor and helmet it will do.
WTF man? I got a stormtrooper helmet from a store and it looks good and all but there's just one problem....the sight is SHIT!! I can't walk around in it without runnning into EVERYTHING! It says Rubies on the side but crap I must have got ripped off. Is there a helmet with GOOD vision I can find?
Hey, i'm trying to find the EXACT helmet that you bought, but all the online pictures look like the eyes are blacked out and that the air vent ends are black as well. Also some of the reviews said that vision out of the helmet was terrible. Did your online picture look different then the actual helmet when you bought it? I don't want to buy something I can't see out of obviously :D thanks alot
Hey - Anybody have any leads on how I might be able to acquire this exact helmet, as I need to replace a Rubies 'supreme' stormtrooper helmet. I have until next Wednesday, or I'm out $900 dollars to replace the whole costume on a rental.
This is the Rubies "Supreme" Stormtrooper Helmet and is normally only sold with the "Supreme" Stormtrooper Armor. This is not what anyone should expect to get when they order a Rubies Helmet. Currently the best Rubies helmet you can buy (without armor) is the "Collectors" Helmet, which is not nearly as good. However they have discontinued the "Collector's" Helmet and will be replacing it with the "Supreme" Helmet this summer(2011).
I was wondering about this helmet too. It looks better on video then the pics. I may just buy one. They are on eBay for $50. I'd like the new efx one but it's $170. Thoughts?
@737flyguy eFx will release their Precision Cast Stormtrooper helmet soon and this one is one of the most accurate and also affordable helmets out there. It is like the older Master Replicas Collector Edition Stormie helmet. This is good for trooping even the 501st use these with minor modifications.
@737flyguy Are you getting a Rubies armor? Or a fan made? Rubies and Museum Replicas are the only ones licensed so far. And neither are as good as some fan made ones - and also quite expensive as well.
I agree, for a basic Stormtrooper helmet that doesn't require any assembly it's not bad. It's recognizable. You're absolutely right on the 501st acceptance though, you need a *much* higher quality bucket to get in.

How is your vision with the helmet on? Do the lenses fog up at all and does it get really hot with it on?

There are much better screen accurate alternatives that won't cost you an arm and a leg.
