  • Headache after that song. Lol

  • Sweet landing

  • Hi.....

HOW I CAN BUY THIS LIGHTFLY?... ANY HERE CAN HEALP ME?..

  • please can i hear your beautiful aircraft without the music, it looks great but the music is not helping me enjoy your wonderfull production. thanx.

  • awsome, where can i get one?

  • name of music plis

  • X-Ray Spex: The Day the World Turned Dayglo

    (From the album Germfree Adolescents)

    Super cool music ;-)

  • plis name of music plis

  • Do anyone know the title of the suppotring song of the video?

  • Cool video and of course x-ray spex the day the world turned dayglo, nice mate...

  • At Present it is the Bailey 4 stroke.

The Light Fly is now the Dragonfly, see 'Dragonfly the Movie,

  • Hello. What kind of motors will be used?

Are there another motors in planing and where can i buy it in Germany?

  • what are the chances of getting shot at by hillbillies in rural areas?

  • Are you talking about flying in the Third World?

  • no, i mean hicks living right here in the grand USofA.....don't you ever watch Jerry Springer? lol

  • Any thought to how the trike would do without the engine. Towed aloft by a Dragonfly or payout winch. Benefit would be the comfort of the suprone flying position and landing on wheels. The older I get the better that sounds. Would removing the engine mess up CG? Your thoughts.

  • Certainly possible, I am quite happy to make an engine less trike for towing. Suggest it has the fairings.

    Cheers,

    Ben.

  • what a beautiful machine

  • Very cute, but to what purpose. Faster, Safer, Stronger, More Fuel Effecient, Better Rate of Climb ??? Wheels-up Landings not a problem, eh ?? Full Monty

  • Because it can!

Portability and efficiency are the primary aims, aesthetics are also another. Strength is not compromised. Only idiots land wheels up, eh??

New film will be out soon with the trike fully clothed, as soon as the weather plays along.

  • No, not only idiots land wheels-up. Even extremely well-trained and high-time pilots to touch and skids. When things are tired or busy, _hit happens. But portability can not be denied. Nice job. Will be looking for your further video. :)

  • We all do idiotic things when tired. The point is, a wheel up landing will only damage your pride and possibly the propeller.

There is a red and green indicator for wheels up or wheels down.

  • Can we get some progress photos on the bodywork or maybe some more video?

  • Yes, they are on our website. flylight. co. uk. Go to the flexwing section on the menu and you'll be guided from there.

  • Thanks. Could this wing be free flown by a 175lb pilot?

  • I cant wait!!!!

  • So this will be avaliable in the USA????

Is the Price listed below (13,850) the final price for USA sales?????

    Whats the fuel efficency like???

Can it be bought cheaper (less than 13,850) without the body work????

Is a Bigger fuel tank a feature for longer distance flying???

i ask these question because im looking for a low cost and nice flying machine to get me in the sky!!!!!

  • Yes it will be avialable in the States, There is no final price until the development program has ended, the price is for trike and wing.

The basic will be the cheapest option and this will come without fairings.

No plans for a bigger tank, with the present tank and the Bailey it can stay in the air for over 4 hours.

It will be fairly straight forward to install a larger tank.

  • What is the weight of the trike unit without glider? Could this trike be purchased without the wing and flown with a conventional freeflight hang glider? If so, what is the cost of the unit without the wing?

    Thanks

  • The trike is between 35 and 45 kg depending on engine and fit. Yes we will be selling the trike seperately but, the wing that you choose will have to be able to take the additional weight. You will effectively become the aircraft designer / builder

Contact the wing manufacturer if in doubt.

  • Are there pictures available of the body work for this unit? I think there are a bunch of us out here that would like to see more.

  • The bodywork is being made at present, should have pictures in 2-3 weeks time.

  • hp? payload? g rating?

  • 15 - 18 Hp, depending on engine

100 - 110 kg depending on engine wt.

    4g limit load, 6g ultimate.

  • When will these be available in the US and who will the dealer be? Is that sub $8K American and will that include a wing? Thanks for the info, looks awesome!

  • It is sub 8000 british pounds including wing and17.5% british tax, dollar price will be approximately $13,850. Ready for early year 2008. We have an American Dealer, Paul Olson.

Go to our website, Doodle Bug page and in the ordering section is our dealers.

  • Thanks for the information. When will you be taking orders and showing the options? I would really like to see one with the fairings on it. I assume that you will be selling these with the Discus... I think there are a few people that will be eager to see some updates on your web page.

Looks like it's time for me to start taking hang gliding lessons.

  • So I take it you can power to altitude and glide down. Electric start?

  • Yes, it is designed to be soared as a hang glider, 12:1 glide with a 200 feet / min sink rate engine off.

Yes we are looking at an electric powered one, batteries arrive this week!

  • X Ray Specs

  • That looks great. Makes me want to take up the sport. BTW, what's the backing music?

  • Sooo goood!! I am curious to know it's price.

  • Price is still to be finalised. it will be sub $8000 for the trike

  • that's the most wonderful thing I've ever seen

  • where can i buy one of that?

  • from Flylight Airsports Ltd. Should be in production by the end of August, beginning of September.

  • How much does it weigh, it looks super-light. Is it commercially available? and finally can you rig your own hang gliding wing onto it?

  • If the glider can take the extra 40 kilos then (check maximum payload), Yes.

  • Nice one Ben, can you now make the trike unit longer so us big blokes can fly it!

  • So you did sit in it!, Ian is our composite man at Flylight, he is also very tall.

    Answer is , yes.

  • Very nice video :-)
