the tires are12.5x35 the running boards i think were 36 inch's off the ground.the axles are stock width and i think its a lot less work then taking the body off and putting it on another frame.thanks for looking
I have a 1949 Chevy Suburban that I will be building up next year. Still planning it out, but I'm pretty sure it will be 4x4 similar to that panel. What size tires did you go with (height and width)? Any idea how high the running board is off the ground? Are those stock width late 70's chevy axles and how far do the tires stick out past the fenders? Why did you use the stock frames vs. using a late 70's frame? How did you do the steering? Thanks.
dude i have a 50 suburban, thats on the original frame? what are the axles out of. and do you have some pics of under neath. I live in north east pa, and really want to convert mine to 4wd
i have pics of under neath put i dont know what you want to see.and i dont want to post my email addres.i fab new shackle mounts for the front springs and the back i just moved the spring pads on the axle.the power steering box is also 70-80 chevy.thanks for looking.
