Thanks for posting this. I'm such a huge fan of Mick's. It's almost hard to watch for me because the sense of loss in losing him is so heavy. But I thank God that we had him as long as we did, and that he was sent here with such amazing talent and as an amazing human being as well. Rest in peace, Mick. You'll always be remembered and missed here. There won't be another like you.
Mick Ronson was an absolute dedicated guitarist, a genius and still a nice and humble guy. Heaven and Hull is a great album, as are Micks other solo albums. His song Life On Mars (totally different words and music as the Bowie song with same title!) is fun and great. My most favorite Mick-song is 'Rather Be Me'. Mick is a great songwriter too. There's only a demo of that song but it could be a big hit. I hope Bowie will ever sing it. Mick...we'll never forget u; u're immortal in ur music legacy.
WOW--it's sad to see Mick as he was dying, all thin and gaunt but then the Ziggy stuff pops up and he's the Mick we remember. Ian at the 5:35 mark is priceless. Never saw that before. Mick really never got his due, his peers knew he was a genius but.....Love ya Ronno
I myself live in Hull myself went to see Mick last week at east Hull cemetery. Couldnt find him at first lol but after a little help I found him, spent 2 hours at his grave playing his songs. To all you Mick lovers, Come to Hull and pay him some respects!
oh how i miss mick, lovely, sweet, timid, vibrant! 1988 he was the best man in my wedding, tavern on the green, nyc, he spent honeymoon night with us in hotel room, eating room-service fried chicken, champagne & a bit of coke - till dawn. he headed back to woodstock, we drove to nashville. lovely memories, lovely, gorgeous man... happy mick got together with our friends to do heaven & hull before he left us... xxx
Statue for Mick would be great. Heaven and Hull is a brilliant album. My favourite track is Colour Me. I play it on a loop every day on my way to work at the moment! R.I.P Mick.
southpawsatch i met ronno n ian at international 2 in manchester many years ago best night of my life apart from my kids bein born.ronno was sutcha down to earth guy,we spent time in bands after gig party.great memmory, mick never got true recognision for his musical skill.his solo album is awesome, till i see michael picasso again goodnight
As a MAJOR fan of his, and a nurse, I can see how very ill he was in the interview section. What an amazing man, and an incredible musician. Met him in 1979 when he and Ian played Detroit. I was "floored" to say the least! One of the most beautiful men I've ever laid eyes on!
My dad wants to say.... " Ronno was a hero of mine I always wanted to be Ronno not Bowie. I first saw him live on the last Ziggy tour in 73. On the first Hunter-Ronson tour I saw him in Birmingham U.K. and then travelled down to the Hammersmith, London on holiday Monday. We met him when they turned up for the soundcheck. On the night he dedicated Slaughter on 10th....to us,what a memory. I still treasure his autograph and I'm 50 yrs old. RONNO we still miss ya !

Sad to see him ravaged by that awful illness 3minutes into to this, I've just lost 3 close friends to cancer all in their 40s.
I donate to cancer charities 5 days a week, wish we could beat it once and for all !
