  • Was this song in the movie memoirs of a geisha? :p

  • this is dope

  • I had to sing this in second grade, i looked up some zither music because i have to do a project for history class.

  • this is do beautiful!!!!

  • @littleherotwice so not do -_-

  • This song has brought back so many childhood memories. It just dawned on me that my mother had a wind-up geisha doll when I was little, and when you wound it up the doll would dance to this song. I had completely forgotten about that until I heard the song again. Thank you!

  • This is so nice, and I have heard this tune before as it is very popular in Japan.

I feel much better after hearing this.

    Excellent.

    5*****

  • @SensaiMan Cheers ! The disc this song came from was purchased in Picadilly Circus there in London ! :)

  • @52telecasterbob

Thank you! Now I know it is a very small world. I hope you enjoyed London or did it rain?

    Now we have snow.

Sakura "Cherry Blossoms" fall like snow they are so very pretty.

Great music keep up the good work.

  • This makes me feel i'm suddenly transported in Japan.... o.o

  • All I can see is snow falling too the ground as a cherry blossom sways in the wind.

  • I feel completely relaxed now.

  • Why couldn't the Chinese and Japanese not have a war but to become allies...

  • How many Kotos are in this recording? I want to think its 2 but the performance sounds too good for two players to play simult.

  • @mRazjel And, can anyone tell me the name of the performer(s)?

  • @mRazjel Jest dwóch graczy Koto.

  • brilliant♥

  • @AlyssaPennant I agree ! ^ ^

  • @52telecasterbob first time i heard this song it was in shogun 2. that is when i realised i like japanese traditional music

  • @ACID01100 Cool ! I haven't seen either movie yet!

  • @52telecasterbob nah is a PC game :)

  • I respect the Japanese culture much more than my own (Polish / european). So beautiful and sincere.

  • @mooflakes11 Mam kilku znajomych z Polska. Podoba mi się ich muzyka ludowa!

  • @mooflakes11 ME TOOOO, I LOVE JAPAN

  • @mooflakes11 - The Polish perseverance in the face of so much utter shit throughout history is pretty badass too.

  • @ToiletBomberAlpha yup, bravery battle the Germans and Russians in WWII, i give them thumb for that.

  • @mooflakes11 yes from europe our stuff looks crude in comparison

  • I know the lyrics to this song! :)

  • @emmyisnuts Post them if you want to ! :)

  • @52telecasterbob I got them from this video. Its called Sakura, Sakura (桜桜, さくら さくら) w. Lyrics & Translation. I know some people cant write the japanese. But just search Sakura lyrics and you should find a video called that. If you're not sure. Its by Veevid4u. I give all credits to Veevid4u :)

  • so beutifula dng relaxing and graceful gahh like heaven to my ears <3

  • @arrows211 I never get tired of hearing this song! :)

  • My friends think I'm weird because I like Japanese & Chinese music even though I am in no way Japanese or Chinese. In fact, I'm Norwegian. lol. <3

  • @aiydel Asiatisk kultur og musikk er fascinerende!

  • @52telecasterbob Ja, ja det er!! (:

  • @aiydel Ja det är bra!

  • @poisonuslizard It does have that effect!

  • beautiful!!!!

  • @1EvilScooterKitty I think so too!

  • Any idea where this recording came from? I'd like to sample it, and give attribution.

  • @hank9tube I bought the recording from a Japanese shop in central London. I don't know the recording information.

  • @52telecasterbob

Ah...understood. Label probably in Japanese anyway. Thanks and regards.

  • Now to acquire a koto, move to Japan, and learn this beautiful music.

  • my DNA is resonant with the music.

  • this song sounds like its from shogun total war 2... well... shogun uses this song.

  • @Roofedhobo This is a very famous song. I guess Mr Shogun likes it too!

  • @52telecasterbob Mr Shogun ? Shogun means General in japanese , so i don't think it's a person's name Oo

  • @Roofedhobo lol actually shogun 2 sounds like this (i know you already said that, just makin a point)

  • Absolutely beautiful and enchanting! I love Japanese classical music, its so deep.

  • @frenchmanfresh1 I agree ! :)

  • DJ Khalil sampled this!

  • @the5thlegend He has good taste in music !

  • This is awesome.......:)

  • @michaelreaper666 Cheers !

  • @michaelreaper666 , I don't like the word "awesome"; it is too close to "awful". How about beautiful, wonderful etc? Or if you have to use the word "awe", how about "awe inspiring"? But yes, this is lovely music with lovely images to accompany the music. Superb!

  • @SelanikliSuleyman We all agree this music is special and unite in the unique vibe it has for us! :)

  • @SelanikliSuleyman

awesome is about as close to awful as wonderful is to pitiful.

  • @waldoman7 Good point !

  • how do you say in japanese: this is sublime!

    this is sublime!♥

    arigato for posting.

  • @832existentialiste "これは崇高です"

  • @52telecasterbob And Latin spelling would be? :P

  • @832existentialiste I do know that to say: "Incredible!" in Japanese you say: "Sugoi!" I don't know how to say: "This is sublime!" in Japanese, only in English, Portuguese and Gibberish.

  • @meliante2

How do you say it in Gibberish? :) Kidding aside, arigato. At least I've known another Japanese word in you, 'sugoi'. I have always wanted to learn Japanese but I'm deterred by the script. Aside from 2 native dialects and English, I speak French and Spanish. Thank you. GOD BLESS YOU!

  • @832existentialiste @832existentialiste You are most welcome. I understand most of Spanish but I don't speak it because I never studied it. I would like to study French, too. Even more after my first travel to France. As for Japanese, I know that the Japanese themselves study both their alphabet and ours (the Latin characters, that they call "Romaji" because it is a "Roman" alphabet). Strangers also study Japanese in the Latin alphabet for didatical reasons Which native dialets do you speak?

  • @832existentialiste saiko desyo OR sugoi desuyo!

  • @amenatsuhasujinseii

maraming salamat! (thank you so much in Filipino)

  • @832existentialiste : Ta failte roimht ..(your welcome in Irish!)

  • @amenatsuhasujinseii あなた は 歓迎 さ れ て いる. (Tá fáilte romhat sa tSeapáinis.)

  • @832existentialiste Dou Itashi Mashite (You Are Welcome in Japanese)

  • @amenatsuhasujinseii 西湖desyo ORすごいギッシリ!?

  • Salvation!

  • @jasvinder04 नमस्ते.देखने के लिए धन्यवाद!

  • @juanfjimenez9 kanji? You mean hiragana, right?

  • @HiNoTamaIII i mean katakana hiragana and kanji

  • @juanfjimenez9 It's just a different romaji system, it's not incorrect. Weebo.

  • @juanfjimenez9 Its actually Arigato.

  • @KaraShono It depends on the context.....Domo Ariigato or Doumo Arigatou ! ^ ^

  • @KaraShono its with double oo! because its like say aaron

  • @juanfjimenez9 Sorry to say this but.. if you actually heard thank you in japanese it sounds like "arigatou" ^_^ rather than "arigatoo"
