@FARthepianist The ocean etude is actually considered a far easier piece. It is one of the first many learn of the chopin etudes and requires a great deal less technique to play than this piece.
This coming July, from the 23rd to the 31st, the beautiful medieval Tuscan village of Pietrasanta will host the IV edition of "Pietrasanta in Concerto".
Nine exhilarating nights in the intimate cloister of Sant' Agostino where enjoy the music of leading artists such as Martha Argerich, Vadim Repin, and Boris Berezovsky, and the opening piano duo of Itamar Golan and Bishara Harouni!

In general I think he rushes at times his tone is harsh and uninteresting. I have listened to quite a few of his recordings. He is certainly capable of much more in my humble opinion.
Not only that, the hammers sound a bit dried out. Everything is really punchy and metallic. I'd really like to blame it on the piano rather than Boris's "banging" interpretation ;-)
He's just played 7 of the world's toughest pieces in a ROW before this, and after this one he has 3 to go. I'm surprised he hasn't fainted yet, let alone sweating!
Yes, the Transcendental Etudes must be among the toughest if not the toughest piano pieces ever written. I would take my hat off to him if I had one, apocalyptic playing.

That isn't sweat, it's pure, liquid talent seeping out of his skin.

Nice playing, its raining.
I would laugh if he'd play the raindrop prelude with that facial expression.

Boris is just awesome!!!!
I would love to meet him and hear him play in person!
Did anyone tune this poor piano before this concert? The upper range is terrible!!!
Looks like it was very hot. I am assuming that the piano just slipped?

He doesn't need a page turner on stage, he needs someone to continually wipe his brow. He's sweating like a gatorade commercial.
