It's ironic how real people follow "like everybody who has ever been in a haunted house in a horror movie, they just try to stay there and  stick it out". If you watch Discovery Channel's A Haunting, it's mind boggling as to why some people just wont leave the haunted house. Most of the time, their reason is that they already spent money for it.
