@CBRADIOLOVER believe it or not I just purchased a old 1976 Lafayette Telsat 1000 23 channel and it has the best RX of any radio I have ever used LOL Hoping to pick up one of the new Cobra 29 LX LE have you heard any reviews good or bad on them yet ?  73's

@ChopperTCB I ain't used it yet but I've seen it, damn good lookin' radio. Too bad they aint done a base station or a 148 gtl up that way, a radio that fancy needs some sideband!

@ChopperTCB i heard the new cobra's have some issues with the display not being bright and guess what they use the same as the night watch too light them up the same supply anyways by looking around lol so the life span i would guess not very high thats why they limited additions i suppose

All those radios....hopefully you aren't wasting your money by using some piece of crap omni directional antenna. The big boys use beam antennas.
