Like Marx, I feel the people behind the Zeitgeist movement have seen the problems of the world, but have wrongly diagnosed the causes. By placing the blame on money, a man-made invention, they seem to have reversed the cause and effect. Men have corrupted money, money has not corrupted man. The cause of this corruption comes from the acceptance of the initiation of violence as moral. We must reject the initiation of violence and instead treat voluntary exchange as true morality for true change

@daveyg07 It’s not that money (paper) alone per sé that is the problem. It’s the monetary of exchange and how money is used in the world. The key point made by Zeitgeist movement and Venus project is that way need to move away from a monetary economy to a resource economy, which means we don't‘ allow monetary system of exchange (that ultimately only benefits the super rich) to keep us from truly making the world a better place. The monetary system is wasteful and illusionary.

@bakari45 That's just not true. Yes, our current monetary/fiat/Federal Reserve system is a product of the violence of the State, not of the voluntary exchange where Money first arose. Money enables the poor access to riches they otherwise could never have. Money allows them to trade their labor for money, which can then be used to buy countless products, instead of barter. I suggest reading Mises, Rothbard, and Hayek on the true fundamentals of money before coming to such hasty conclusions

Some will always choose violence before starvation if they are too poor otherwise. The very problem with this monetary system is that that kind of violent immoral behavior can be rewarding. (stealing, cheating, lying and killing to get money.)

The problem is that in a free market system, those behaviors are highly discouraged and contained (however not abolished, as that may be impossible). Our government-violence system rewards such behavior though the initiation of violence, preventing the free market from punishing such actions justly

Precisely. I am saying that in an RBE(a Venus Project-type society), there would be no reward for people to steal, cheat, or kill each other. So there would be no reason to do it. So nobody would do it.

Those behaviors are frowned upon not because of the free market system, but because of the models of morality which have been so widely culturally adopted (many of which are inspired from christianity).

To me the first Zeitgeist movie is just about critically challenging belief systems that we are supposed to accept because the media and governments say so. It doesn't impose anything on the viewer, you are left to make up your own mind.

I don't have a concrete conclusion on 9/11 I just question the official story.
