I'm a strong believer in buying quality.
Most of my work gear is elinchrom.
But if I had to choose between cheap or nothing, I go for really cheap. LOL!
this how to is geared towards amateurs that that don't want to spend a bunch of money to learn and experiment.
Once a person gets their head around flash photography, and decides they like it, they'll probably want better quality.
If they don't like "strobist" type photography, they're only out two bucks or so.
