This is Le Xuan, a world class slalom skater.

To the guy who thinks aggressive skating takes more skill:  Slalom skating is by far the most technical style of inline skating. I've been doing it for just under two months, and I'd say on a skill level it's up there with figure skating (which I also practice). And it's one hell of a workout. Don't be mistaken at how easy Le Xuan makes it look.

Consider 2 people. These 2 people are exactly the same. One is on Inline Skates, the other is one Aggressive Skates.

These 2 people have a 100 m race. During the race they use exactly the same moving motion.

Who will win? The guy on Inline Skates. Why? For the reason I explained earlier.

The point is that Inline Skates are faster.

It can easily be proved.

Get 2 disks or wheel shaped objects (e.g. a bike wheel and plate). Make sure the diameter is different.

Do 1 full gyration on each.

Result: The larger wheel will have covered more distance.

What does this mean? It means you can cover a greater distance in the same time with a larger wheel than a smaller wheel.

In other words, a larger wheel allows you to move faster.
