Actually,...it is pretty exact. Each submunition has a sensor which looks for something that matches the profile of an AFV before it detonates. If nothing found, they self destruct. Even unexploded they present less risk if they are duds. Instead of being impact fused, these submunitions require the laser and IR sensors to give a proper profile for a mechanized target. And the munition is an EFP as opposed to a fragmentation or Combined Effect Munition (ie., shaped charge with a frag sleeve).
