I know it uses Cherry switches, it's no secret ^^ the Scorpius on the other hand is even harder to get in Germany and mine shipped very fast. also I ordered the ultimate version, means it's totally blank and I really like it :)
additionally on dasKeyboard you can press 12 keys simultaneously and they don't block, on the Scorpius you only can press 6 at a time (not that you would need more, but wth^^)
(btw it's dasKeyboard not DAS ^^ it's German, translated it would simply be theKeyboard ;) )
wait are you saying that the realforce87 uses cherry switches? I'm pretty sure it uses capacitive switches the same as the HHKB Pro 2. that's why it's so expensive.
actually this sounds like quite heavy keys! leaves the impression you have to push hard and and on the way down you get slowed down in a soft/smooth way.
my father once had a keyboard like this and god i hated it ^^
oh you shouldn't have bought the DAS keyboard because they rip you off. The DAS keyboard is just a plain rebranded Cherry keyboard, the company that makes the switches for the DAS keyboard. There is a very similar keyboard out there with the same switches called the Scorpious M10. Check it out!
So the keyboard is really plugged in huh? :P

I think he meant his das keyboard. Sometimes, when replying to comments here, it does not go where one wants it to go.

you're right with the way this sounds. The only thing I don't understand is why this keyboard is worth $200+

it is..? ooh you're right it is o.O there's even one on ebay for 350$!
that's sick... can anybody tell me what's supposed to be so special about this one???
I just received my dasKeyboard and I gotta say it is a joy to use :D (and with ~100$ expensive enough ^^)
