I think this is a great game but while I can see why some people give this game bad reviews I can't find any real faults with it myself. There are things I'd tweak sure (give the marines some sort of objective in pred hunt and infestation instead of just grouping together in a corner). It doesn't deserve the bad rep it's received though I suppose it's a matter of preference.

No it isn't. I'm not saying you're an idiot, but the they didn't change anything with the predator unlike Halo where the masterchief was MADE to be awesome. Predator Hunt doesn't really copy anything, it's a pretty basic concept.
they need make an expansion pack which each predator or alien will have different effect ,example one faster ,one stronger,one with more health,by adding new predators and from alins predalien,alien queen and praetorian,not changing skins
There needs to be an expansion pack for this game. Im level 40, Have unlocked 40 out of 50 Achievments, And this game is getting kinda boring. I really like the Runner Alien, Heavy Predator, and Android playable characters in the AVP 2 Multiplayer. Hell, the game could be a just multiplayer expansion. It could be just DLC, but technically a new game. PS, try beating the Praetorian with predator on Nightmare, GoodLuck.
@TheMike6495 I actaully figured out a trick. Running backward around the edges of the ring, whilst throwing you smart disc over and over. And when he falls down heavy attack him if you feel lucky and run backwards again.

i beat the predator story mode, at the end isthe gay predalion thingy aliens get really anoying 2.but the smart disc and the stick thing make it easier

I just hate when your a marine and a predator is cloaked and runs at you, swings at you, you block it, punch him in the face, then shoot him in the head, the predator dude is like wtf that was bullshit... yes the predators are strong, but they arent meant for the "Run at and shank" type and neither are the aliens...
@suolalemon you can do both, avp2 - about a dozen classes and all made sense, could compete and were fairly realistic, in reality preds would dominate but u can nerf them with slower projectiles, less fire rate and non-splash weapons
This game doesnt even have a support site...and single player will last you 6 hours max...all races...its horrible that sega can come out with some crap like this. Ive beat it and then I play multiplayer and it freezes everytime I start...bad bad bad game and no its not my comp its the crappy game company...i mean beta was out for a week before the game was released that says it all right there...

And the multiplayer is boring...you have to take a break after each game its just a bunch of bad balancing. Plus im a huge fan of Preditor and the alien series. Not AVP they messed that crap up so bad. Oh a how did #6 in the alien mode suddenly turn into a queen? that is not the life cycle of the alien. They just threw a bunch of crap together to make the kiddies go ooo thats cool
@Fiorwestcoast Actually, that is the life cycle. If there is no queen, and a queen is needed, any alien can become one, there is no alien sex, there all 1 sex, there are races though.
whenever i try to join a game in a multiplayer, my game stops responding, however it works when i create a game and play it, can someone pls tell me wtf is wrong?
This mode is bugged. When ever I become the hunter I stay a Marine and I don't get any points for killing the real marines :s Would have been a fun mode tho.
There are so many bugs that people say I don't experience them at all. I play on PC and this mode rocks. What i believe is happening to you is that you "believe" you killed the predator, and of course you stay as a marine , and marines killing other marines give 0 points, are you sure you killed the predator ?
Absolutely sure! Theres even a voice telling you that you are the hunter. And the other marines starts beeping on your motiondetector(and showing as dots instead of x).
to anyone saying that infestation is a copy of halo 3 infection, infestation mode was in Aliens vs Predator 2 which was made even before Halo 2 came out so no not really, also the gamer comes out tomorrow for any UK people here

Crouching should be available it's what you expect from most FPS games, and it really have no downside so why even bother arguing about it? Will your AVP experience get ruined if they allow crouching? And wtf is with the comparison of MW2? If you just take a look you will find that more than 3/4 of the FPS games have the crouch option.
You don't need crouch in this type of game is the entire point. It would not help u at all in any way shape or form. Crouch is needed in GRAW, MW2, Halo, most FPS b/c you are facing other humans not aliens & predator. Is everyone retarded? why cry over crouching when it is not needed at all in this game. DM is the least popular game mode or it will be just like the previous AVP's so you'll rarely fight other marines therefore crouch is not needed at all.

People who complain about crouching are those that hate seeing a good game being over simplified to cater to main stream gamers. Crouching adds way more options to a fire fight, and game play in general. If they want to camp let them. They won't last very long.
my point is crouching is something not needed in AVP at all. If you feel the NEED to crouch you most likely suck at the game & will probably stop playing b/c there is no camping. You can camp without crouching. Either way Alien & Predator can see you with little effort so no point in sitting in one place unless you want to die or are with a squad of marines. crouching adds nothing but an easy kill for me. Sit still for more than 2 seconds & I'll kill u with predator without u ever seeing me.
Just because I would like the option to crouch doesn't mean I enjoy camping, nor does it mean I suck at the game... And AVP is full of camping from all species. Your logic is full of holes. It takes nothing away from the game, and adds another option to make use of. Nothing wrong with that.

Players will camp regardless of crouch, so that point is moot. Humans are the slowest species already, so it really wouldn't matter. If they have to move fast, they can uncrouch and sprint. Again, nothing there. It would not be detrimental to the game at all, and would only help the game. If you don't like crouching, then you wouldn't have to crouch, simple as that.

You're capacity for thinking is so limited I doubt you're even capable of strategy. You seem to be confusing Crouching and Camping. Two totally different things. This might come as a surprise to you, but you can move while crouched. Secondly, you're completely forgetting about Marine vs Marine engagements, and the need for cover. Not only that, but what about firing stances to prevent friendly fire in a cramped corridor.
Give me one good reason why Crouching would be a bad implementation. As it stands, it does nothing negative to the game play, and just heightens the tactics available for marine players. You also keep bringing up MW2 for no reason...at all. If anyone plays MW2, it'd be you, you match the mind set. Why protest crouching if it takes nothing away from the game? Such a limited perspective is why; what should be hard core games are becoming simplified to the point of having a 'Win' button.

If someone crouched the spear would fly right over them if aimed at the head, since the hit box would be smaller, where as moving to the side would just shift it slowly to one direction. As for the Alien point...completely moot. Crouching isn't going to magically protect them from everything, It'd just give marine players another option that can help in some situations. It is kind of difficult because you type like a five year old.
once again sounding like a retard. Crouching will NOT allow you to evade an attack considering that a spear or canon will not be aimed at a marine's head. If I aim for your waste or chest with a spear, canon, or disc then when you crouch i will hit you in the head or chest defeating the use of crouching. You can move faster side to side & evade attacks much easier than a slow crouch.

There are so many bugs that people say I don't experience them at all. I play on PC and this mode rocks. What i believe is happening to you is that you "believe" you killed the predator, and of course you stay as a marine , and marines killing other marines give 0 points, are you sure you killed the predator ?

Crouching should be available it's what you expect from most FPS games, and it really have no downside so why even bother arguing about it? Will your AVP experience get ruined if they allow crouching? And wtf is with the comparison of MW2? If you just take a look you will find that more than 3/4 of the FPS games have the crouch option.

You don't need crouch in this type of game is the entire point. It would not help u at all in any way shape or form. Crouch is needed in GRAW, MW2, Halo, most FPS b/c you are facing other humans not aliens & predator. Is everyone retarded? why cry over crouching when it is not needed at all in this game. DM is the least popular game mode or it will be just like the previous AVP's so you'll rarely fight other marines therefore crouch is not needed at all.

my point is crouching is something not needed in AVP at all. If you feel the NEED to crouch you most likely suck at the game & will probably stop playing b/c there is no camping. You can camp without crouching. Either way Alien & Predator can see you with little effort so no point in sitting in one place unless you want to die or are with a squad of marines. crouching adds nothing but an easy kill for me. Sit still for more than 2 seconds & I'll kill u with predator without u ever seeing me.

yes crouching helps so much i forgot. I love to crouch in a corner like a coward so predator can shoot me in the face from afar while i can't seem him b/c he is cloaked. Players will camp regardless of crouch, so that point is moot. Humans are the slowest species already, so it really wouldn't matter. If they have to move fast, they can uncrouch and sprint. Again, nothing there. It would not be detrimental to the game at all, and would only help the game. If you don't like crouching, then you wouldn't have to crouch, simple as that.
Crouching is in almost ever FPS, not just MW2. And no, I don't play MW2. From your reasoning however, I bet you do.

This might come as a surprise to you, but you can move while crouched. Secondly, you're completely forgetting about Marine vs Marine engagements, and the need for cover. Not only that, but what about firing stances to prevent friendly fire in a cramped corridor.

Give me one good reason why Crouching would be a bad implementation. As it stands, it does nothing negative to the game play, and just heightens the tactics available for marine players. You also keep bringing up MW2 for no reason...at all. If anyone plays MW2, it'd be you, you match the mind set. Why protest crouching if it takes nothing away from the game? Such a limited perspective is why; what should be hard core games are becoming simplified to the point of having a 'Win' button.

Again, limited thinking. I already gave you two examples. If someone crouched the spear would fly right over them if aimed at the head, since the hit box would be smaller, where as moving to the side would just shift it slowly to one direction. As for the Alien point...completely moot. Crouching isn't going to magically protect them from everything, It'd just give marine players another option that can help in some situations. It is kind of difficult because you type like a five year old.

If I aim for your waste or chest with a spear, canon, or disc then when you crouch i will hit you in the head or chest defeating the use of crouching. You can move faster side to side & evade attacks much easier than a slow crouch.

Right, I guess that'd be too much physical activity for you... See the beauty about an optional feature is that; You don't have to crouch unless you want to. If you don't want to crouch...then don't.
