  • I have always liked the drifters, even though they have changed band members many times.

however this recording is not right,as any drifter admirer will know.

the two verses start with the same lyrics on this version.

the second verse should be (little girl you know hes just the cheeting kind,

i knew that he would soon step out of line).

    Thumbs down for this one.

  • even live there voices perfect!

  • wen i was young i kiss my first girlfriend with this song always the best in the world guys

  • Excellent.

  • Johnny Moore was the best lead drifter. English music invaded the U.S. and the drifters moved to England. The Brits got the better of the deal. Saw the drifters at a place called the Country House, aka Deercrest Inn in the 60's. Still have wonderful memories of them. This music will last forever.

    Tony Lupinacci

  • Johnny Moore wasthe Drifters without him there is no Drifters

  • I grew up listening to these guys and loved every tune, great Carol King songs she wrote a lot of them. I had the pleasure of Johnny Moore's company when I worked with them at The Coulston Hall in Bristol in 1996 what a show.

  • this group will go down in history has haveing the most lead singers ever(not all the same time).

lead singers came and went like raindrops with the drifters.

but they were allways a great group.

  • saw these guys in the 70s Whitchurch civic hall.the original and the best.saw a group calling them selves the drifters in Spain about 5 years ago awful.

  • I love the drifters,my Father was a member his name was Grant Kitchings.........

  • quite excuisite

  • I liked every song this group produced!

  • The Drifters were a US soul group who peaked in their homeland in the 50s and early 60s.. they had many line ups which included the famous Ben E. King (Stand By Me..released 1960 and 1987) however they enjoyed a new lease of life in their career when they moved to England in the 70s..the hits here were written by an English team and released on the UK Bell label .. they were regulars on TV shows in the UK in the 1970s.

  • What a voice! JM never got the recognition he should have. Always sang live and always good.

  • One of my teachers at school used to play The Drifters to us kids and we loved it. That was only 7 years ago and i thank her for introducing me to these amazing singers.

  • Don't bother with this. I saw this new group in B'ham, England earlier in the year. They were OK but NOTHING like this group or the one that lost the court case.

  • @iveco321 couldnt agree more with you , brilliant..

  • Great quality

  • something missing, very good music. but i think it just sounds better with clyde brown, at johnny's side. not so much his voive as . eye candy.

  • that johnny was and always be the man. beautiful voice.

  • Too right Candy!
