@dorbiro theres a spot where if your reversed hollow, youll be invaded by a npc in red and black, you kill him and get a barbed sword and like 5930 souls
someone may find this helpfull After you get cursed before you get the screen saying you are death switch your system off.
After that turned it on and you will get back to the same place where you died, and you will see you character dying again It is automatically you can not doing anything but you will not get curse.
again the system is going to send you to the last bonfire you visited and presto not curse at all.

Okay, I need some serious help. I'm stuck in the sewers, and I don't have any homeward bones. I'm stuck in the area where the giant rat was, and I don't know how the hell to get out of the sewers area. Could somebody PLEASE HELP ME???? I really need to get back to firelink shrine!
@theninjamandude grab the key from the giant rat room, slide down the LEFT side of the waterfall... make sure to stay left. At the bottom, walk to the right side of the room and there is a stair case up. Then a ladder. Go up. At the end of the path is a torch dregling and a locked door. Use the key. There's a bonfire. From there, go straight back out and turn left at the end of the slime hallway. You can go back to the entrance.
i thought the guy in the gargoyle tower only sells 5 purging stones and the witch in the sewers only sells 1 then runs off and you can't buy anything from her anymore. And finally, the snuggly nest exchange only gets you 2 purging stones. So by my count there's only 8 in the game. Unless you can make it to the healer in New Londo Ruins. Good luck with that. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. Thanks.

@saderlan the only way i can think of is go to Oswald (the guy who is in the room directly after the bell gargoyles) to give him souls to reset the NPC's. It costs a lot of souls if you're a high SL though.
Vagina Dragon is easy... let him follow you until he smacks the ground, then hit him in the head once. Heres the important part, you gotta run around him and get as far away as possible because his charge attack does the most damage. Once he hits a wall he will be stunned for a bit which will let you get a good 3-4 hits on his side. Only thing you gotta watch out for is the flying attack and the weird oozing shit he spews out... not really sure what it does. oh and take off all your clothes :D

@Pesukarhupar1 It dropped off of a cloaked Balder Knight in the church. Most items are dropped by the enemies that use them, so you can see which enemies at the church will drop them.

Came here because 'Curse' was mentioned as an especially sadistic and cruel status affliction in several reviews and I wanted to hear some more opinions on the topic... Honestly I cant quite understand the fuss because Demon's souls just cursed you right off the bat and left you that way for the majority of the game... Any thoughts people? Fantastic game btw.
@tobs001 Curse was a big deal at launch. No one really knew how to get rid of it easily, the sewer merchant didn't sell cures at that time, AND it STACKED multiple times. It was BAD. But they nerfed it to hell. It's not a big deal, now.
@EpicNameBro Not a big deal for some, I'm sure. Still, it's never fun to be insta-killed, and have to backtrack to where you can buy a cure if you happen to forget to buy some before hand, hehe.
hey just wanna say, if its not been said already, being human does not increase your curse resist. just having humanity does. i had 4 and my resist was 70, then went human and it dropped to 60.

the priest is chargng me 52000 souls for dedemtion, is there another way to make the npc friendly again? or can i keep going to the seweres without him attacking me?
I 'm died at the Butcher place, and lost 9k souls...and when i try to get back my souls from the sewer and then get cursed and dead!!!! I lost my souls now!!!!!! I just want to restart my game right now -_-
@dinokaki believe me 9000 souls isn't shit, you will EASILY get your souls back later in the game. I've lost 60k souls once before and i just kept on trucking and i'm all good.
hey i like your vids. umm i dont recall u showing what was passed the fog gate at the top of the stairs from the merchant in the end of ep15 and i dont know how to get back to the bonfire from the merchant i hate this place with a passion but from where i am in the game right now it is the only place for me to farm green titanite to create myself some divine weapons. haha so for others watching your vids put a annotation or something in ep 12 or 13 before u drop that there is a bonfire straight

@ACrazyH0b0 Lol. I keep hitting every NPC accidently because I always take a break and drink something in safe zones and it always hits R1.. Luckily the sewer lady has arrows so I could get the Drake Sword.
IMPORTANT QUESTION! how can I cure curse if I hit the female undead merchant (she will not sell you nothing if you hit her), Oswald of Carim and Ingward and I don't have purging stones and the sorcery "Resist curse"?

I love this game, the only thing I hate is the curse, From software should never have put curse in this game, and when one goes into the great hollow without purging stones and without teleport and gets cursed from basilisks there is a risk of losing a game and more than 25 hours
I noticed a glitch in the Xbox 360 version. The second time I got cursed I got kinda mad, and quit to the Xbox 360 Dashboard. When I booted up the game again later, I loaded my save up, and I was still in the middle of the cursed animation. When I respawned though, I still had all my health left.
Useful way to avoid 15-30 minutes of grinding for souls
I completely halted my journey to try in vain to get through new londo to find a healer that may or may not exist because I accidentally killed oswald.
i would like to say i am the unluckiest player ever. i killed the gaping dragon, had 30000 souls on me, went to spend them, got cursed, went to get them and got cursed again.... 30000 souls.....
@ND89TEN If you didn't kill him, you can buy redemption from the Bell Tower npc. It costs 20x your level in souls, however. If you do so, the NPC will no longer be hostile. If he's dead, he's dead, though.

curses are so brutal in this game, it took me like 7 hours to get out from the hydra in ash lake back up all the way thru the great hollow and back thru blighttown. broken weaps & curse = so painful
I killed the fucking pyromancer trainer, i thought it worked like demons souls by attacking the trap thing you just hurt them a little but free'd them, he just went agro on me and fucked me up.

No go to new londo, when your cursed you can attack the ghosts they aren't that hard, when you get to the end theres a sort of big building with a guy on top, you can give him your humanity and he'll cure you. and as long as you killed all the ghosts and took your time you can get out of there easily.

why didnt they make curse remedy in every merchants inventory considering the price you literally have to pay which is 3grand in souls and being lucky to get to destination without more than likely getting ambushed its bad enough you instantly die
When you slide down that ramp once you reach the bottom go right you will find some stairs go up them and open the door at the top ahead of you will be a ladder climb the ladder and your 10 feet away from the corridor with all the slime's and the bonfire.....

I tried early in the game, but died fast, after seeing how you fought against mostly all bosses, I beat him insanely easy..
When I saw that old lady I was scared shitless and I attacked. She keeps telling me to go to hell, so that's not an option anymore :P Well, off to farming those bushes then
For those of you that can't find the bonfire he's at, it's actually a fake wall behind the torch wielding enemy, just poke it with your weapon and the wall will disappear.
If you cannot open the door to the bonfire then you missed the key that is on the corpse laying against the bars. Im pretty sure thats the key you need. You should be able to see the Giant Rat on the other side of the bars as well. Beware of the curse spewers guarding it I think. As to how to get to it, I know it's posted on a guide video. Can't remember if Epic showed it.

I'm currently at the merchant with the horned helmet and was able to kill everything in my path, including jellies and frogs so shouldn't be too hard I guess.
Not trying to bitch or anything, because I love what you're doing, but you haven't yet shown how to get to that bonfire in the sewers exactly...
I just fell down one of those holes in the ground and luckily was able to defeat all the frogs without getting cursed, but now I would really like to know how to get to that bonfire quickly haha.
I already went by that door at the end of the hallway with the jellies but, as I expected, it doesn't open from that side.
There's a quicker shortcut from the bonfire to the merchant. There's a staircase in the merchants room (other side of it towards the "waterfall") that leads straight up to the bonfire.
Awesome vids. You can also farm the treants when you first enter Darkroot. They almost always drop some moss, and there are like 6 or 7 of them when you first go in after the Undead Burg Blacksmith.

hey i like your vids. umm i dont recall u showing what was passed the fog gate at the top of the stairs from the merchant in the end of ep15 and i dont know how to get back to the bonfire from the merchant i hate this place with a passion but from where i am in the game right now it is the only place for me to farm green titanite to create myself some divine weapons. haha so for others watching your vids put a annotation or something in ep 12 or 13 before u drop that there is a bonfire straight

The mosses can be farmed very easily in darkroot garden. Much easier than paying the merchant.

@ACrazyH0b0 Lol. I keep hitting every NPC accidently because I always take a break and drink something in safe zones and it always hits R1.. Luckily the sewer lady has arrows so I could get the Drake Sword.

I love this game, the only thing I hate is the curse, From software should never have put curse in this game, and when one goes into the great hollow without purging stones and without teleport and gets cursed from basilisks there is a risk of losing a game and more than 25 hours

I noticed a glitch in the Xbox 360 version. The second time I got cursed I got kinda mad, and quit to the Xbox 360 Dashboard. When I booted up the game again later, I loaded my save up, and I was still in the middle of the cursed animation. When I respawned though, I still had all my health left.
Useful way to avoid 15-30 minutes of grinding for souls

@ND89TEN If you didn't kill him, you can buy redemption from the Bell Tower npc. It costs 20x your level in souls, however. If you do so, the NPC will no longer be hostile. If he's dead, he's dead, though.

@EpicNameBro What??? I did the same accidently and HAD to kill that bloke also, but ive been cursed more than once and now have less than 2 bars of health and the bloke in the bell tower is asking for 54,000 souls!!!
Seriously, this game!!! have they done this shit on purpose, because if there is no other way to cure curse im going to have to start agin....which i wont.

wow, this new patch regarding these curses makes me wanna get this game so bad now:P but I'm a huge Uncharted fan too so I kinda have to save for Uncharted 3 next month. But,I gotta say this guides Epic makes are really EPIC indeed and I'm really appreciating the trouble he goes through so many of us do not have to die pointless deaths,hahaha. Great job with these vids EPIC bro, it'll be my main source of information when i do get this game :-)

I killed the fucking pyromancer trainer, i thought it worked like demons souls by attacking the trap thing you just hurt them a little but free'd them, he just went agro on me and fucked me up.

No go to new londo, when your cursed you can attack the ghosts they aren't that hard, when you get to the end theres a sort of big building with a guy on top, you can give him your humanity and he'll cure you. and as long as you killed all the ghosts and took your time you can get out of there easily.

why didnt they make curse remedy in every merchants inventory considering the price you literally have to pay which is 3grand in souls and being lucky to get to destination without more than likely getting ambushed its bad enough you instantly die

Thats not the real shortcut...
When you slide down that ramp once you reach the bottom go right you will find some stairs go up them and open the door at the top ahead of you will be a ladder climb the ladder and your 10 feet away from the corridor with all the slime's and the bonfire.....
It's your first playthru so all is forgiven, keep dieing for me so i don't have to!

Epic i found out by experience that curse cannot curse you more than once meaning your health will not go down to a fourth or and eighth.

Hey dude, have you tried fighting that stone dude by going downwards instead of up the stairs to the "first" boss, that dude on the wallpart, that faceplant in your intro :)
I tried early in the game, but died fast, after seeing how you fought against mostly all bosses, I beat him insanely easy..

For those of you that can't find the bonfire he's at, it's actually a fake wall behind the torch wielding enemy, just poke it with your weapon and the wall will disappear.

If you cannot open the door to the bonfire then you missed the key that is on the corpse laying against the bars. Im pretty sure thats the key you need. You should be able to see the Giant Rat on the other side of the bars as well. Beware of the curse spewers guarding it I think. As to how to get to it, I know it's posted on a guide video. Can't remember if Epic showed it.

I'm currently at the merchant with the horned helmet and was able to kill everything in my path, including jellies and frogs so shouldn't be too hard I guess.

Not trying to bitch or anything, because I love what you're doing, but you haven't yet shown how to get to that bonfire in the sewers exactly...
I just fell down one of those holes in the ground and luckily was able to defeat all the frogs without getting cursed, but now I would really like to know how to get to that bonfire quickly haha.
I already went by that door at the end of the hallway with the jellies but, as I expected, it doesn't open from that side.

There's a quicker shortcut from the bonfire to the merchant. There's a staircase in the merchants room (other side of it towards the "waterfall") that leads straight up to the bonfire.

Awesome vids. You can also farm the treants when you first enter Darkroot. They almost always drop some moss, and there are like 6 or 7 of them when you first go in after the Undead Burg Blacksmith.
