  • That Lions Maid Orbit ad is priceless, cashing in on Captain Scarlet, complete with rather clunky editing. And 9d for an ice lolly, shocking!

  • brill old school

  • Ronnie Barker promoting Kia Ora- amazing

  • Thanks for posting ,it brings back loads of fond memories of when I was a Projectionist in the late 70's and early 80's at the South Shields Cinemas.

  • Nostalgia-tastic. I like the typography at the end of the kaleidoscope one.

  • And lots of real Hazel Nuts!

  • The hot dog man sounds like Matt Berry 'Kit Kat!'

  • Sounds like Jon Pertwee doing the first Kia Ora ad.

  • After the show, why not pay a visit to the Maharaja-Bhaji Tandoori? Enjoy the authentic flavours of India, with friendly service and great atmosphere. 25 Queen Street, Godknowswhere. Open 7 days. (lol).

  • Cue the "This Is Cinema" sting!!

  • Really good to see the Rank Screen Advertising open and close again, I have a set of the titles that follwed these on 35mm the version with the lens but no way of transffering, as a cinema projectionist for many years I have shown both Rank and Pearl and Dean, but Rank / Carlton now DCM have always been the better company, professional in every way.

  • Those RSA idents dates from 1977-1988 before the RSA CGI reels idents from 1988-1992 if anyone remembers them

  • Ah! this is the Rank Screen Advertising sting I've been yearning to see again for ages. Always had a 50s look despite it being from the 70s

  • That scared me- i last saw that Kia-Ora ad in 1981 (aged 5) when I went to see Herbie goes Bananas at the Ritzy 123 in Liverpool. Talk about back in time!!!!

There was another advert for hotdogs on with 3 women in it, haven't seen that since.

  • Finally someone posts the Rank Screen Advertising jingle!! Cheers, takes me way back to my childhood :)

  • OMG!!!

Yes!! It's 1977, and I'm about to see Star Wars with my classmates... 30 rowdy kids, throwing sweets around the Odeon Holloway.
