So much needs to be done in the world to end all forms of oppression. Education must be seen as the tool to end the world's evils such as abuse to women and girls. Once people are educated on these matters, they will realize that violence is the solution for the weak.

Like many other women I was abused as a child by my father and have also been raped as an adult. I continue to struggle with the after-effects of the abuse. Thank you Hilda for giving voice to the ongoing oppression of women. How long it goes on depends on us speaking out, men respecting us on equal terms and and societal sanctions which will protect women and children from ongoing abuse. I believe that pornography also exerts a negative impact in that people are seen as objects/commodities.
