  • gripping author and an amazing character.

  • Busted! Silly bastard just gave himself up. Herbal Henry. I'll track you down Henry, maybe I could score off you?

  • itd be mint to meet him :)

  • His real name is Captain John Price

  • @diderr01 not anymore... didn't you hear? he had to change his name to a newer one, his new name is Captain John "Soap" MacTavish, LOL :)

  • who ells thinks the bounty guy at the begginig looks like nick cage

  • most of the SAS call him andy mc stab

  • i know his real name!

  • @99FLYBOY99 doubt it.

  • Steven Billy Mitchell, service number 24428654

    Look it up :)

  • @iiRatedRKOii DURRRRRRRRRR

    IDIOT

  • Steven Billy Mitchell

  • i dont know why people mock him on that mission, they were all going though it, there traind to deal - get out of them situation's and it was possible or he wouldnt be walking now. it all comes down to andividuale's,training, and will power, if you cant hack it dont be there its your job end the day. and they were happy to go on the mission or they wouldnt have gone its just faint of luck and determination.

  • bravo 2 zero is an amazing book

  • i can make his face out, not a good silhouette

  • On being sensible, was it sensible to go into a desert with no mobility and get 3 of YOUR TEAM KILLED! NAH! didnt fink so!

    R.I.P. VINCE,LEGS and BOB!

  • @di55illu5ioned If they are SAS they were trained to fight behind enemy lines they know the risks and thats what makes them so fuckin tough. The SAS get the job done

  • @D1C3Y Did they get the job done though?

    I think fucking not.

3 men DIED because of stubborness and recalcitrance.

It could have been a much different story.

  • @di55illu5ioned i know what your sayin but first do you acctually know what happened and how they were trained to handle these situations and two imagine if you were the commanding officer in that situation what would you do

  • @GamerGuy196 Cont... as we all know Assumption is the mother of all Fuck Up's.

I may have taken time to learn a few phrases of Arabic, such as"Dont shoot you daft bugger!"or Bedou custom (which would have served as an advantage in their predicament).

I wouldn't have stopped for comms without making sure the patrol were in one peice(resulting in the split)

And certainly would not have E&E'd into a no fly zone where TACBE is useless!

He was badged SAS, much kudos. But he got 3 men killed, not good

  • @di55illu5ioned "Some soldiers go their whole career without a war, but it's what a soldier trains for. This was a war, no mistake, and I was gonna be part of it" "Andy McNab"

What he forgot to say was that he was going to try and win it all by himself!

As for all his books, fiction and mostly fiction, would they have had the sales without ANDY McNAB D.C.M M.M. splashed all over them?

What about ANDY McNAB MOST HATED GUY IN THE SAS COS HE WOULDNT LISTEN&KILLED 3 MEN?

Not the same ring to it eh?

  • @di55illu5ioned why don't you do the same shit he has, then start judging? You don't have the right, the capability, nor the maturity. Authors always post names on books - it's a fucking requirement.

  • @cedakuruqan I was in the Army for nigh on 13 yrs mate and most of it spent in the Balkans.

As for names, he broke PERSEC for the families of the dead, but refused to give his own an the grounds"It will break OPSEC and PERSEC for me and people I've worked with".

Fair enough, so give the dead men the same courtesy.

As for cabability and maturity, I'm simply pointing out what many of his colleague's think, so judge them by the same measure?

This is public forum I've the right to say what I like!

  • @di55illu5ioned sure you were in the army. I'm not saying you weren't. To say what you said, you HAVE to have been in the army. What you don't know, is that he(Andy) can't be blamed for a fuck-up when he clearly can't control the situation. PERSEC for the families of the dead? does it matter? 'The dead can't talk'.

I don't think you are from the SAS. So what if you were in the Balkans? Are you on the same caliber as a soldier as Andy? If you aren't, you won't be taken seriously.

  • @di55illu5ioned

I don't think you are from the SAS. So what if you were in the Balkans? Are you on the same caliber as a soldier as Andy? If you aren't, you won't be taken seriously. And damn all of what his colleagues think. Bcuz he hides himself, I don't even know how you find them :D

  • @cedakuruqan It's obvious you're a member of the fanclub, and believe the bullshit told in his stories.

Try "Bob was new to the Regt" when a picture taken 2yrs earlier of Red Troop has him there?

He also fails to mention that Vince and Mike were draughted in from A Sqn. Mike having passed Selection just wks before!

As for calibre, I never lost anyone(literally or figuratively)on any patrol I led, and thousands can say the same.

    Can McBlab?

His ego got 3 men killed.

Grow up, or better, join up.

  • @GamerGuy196 I do know what happened and what DIDN'T happen!

I also know that as the SAS they are trained to cope with a variety of what we call in the military "Fuck ups"!

Between "Ryan" "McNab"& Coburn, there are more holes in the story than Dutch Gouda.

And as PC(Patrol Commander), I would have listened to the advice of far more experienced and taken a vehicle, as B10 did, and, due to unsuitable terrain, returned to base for redeployment.

I wouldn't have"Assumed" in the permanent desert heat-

  • @di55illu5ioned They would have been compramised within seconds, and they wouldn have enough fule you twat

  • @aurorax1210 And a fucking great chinook wouldn't? Even the Green Army use WMIK now but apart from that they broke filed E&E plans heading into the north, a no fly zone where TACBE would be useless!

Also carrying a donkey load of about 15st each? Both B10&B30 were RTB'd for redeployment!

There was no S-60 site, no RG, and the story changes from 1 to another.

Do a little research before calling names little boy!

Plus ...No SF force leaves FoB without a comms check!

    Hope that helps?

  • @di55illu5ioned The DZ was in a place where they could have been droped with some noise, but to continue the mission with fucking jeeps would be stupid, they are our best forces. I'm sure they knew what there doing. The TACBEs where useless EVERYWHERE because they where given the wrong frequencys. They did do a comms check at there FOB (At least McNabs book said so) Just started Chris Ryans.....Little boy? Maybe you should stop making assumptions...I don't class 17 as little boy, maybe young...

  • @aurorax1210 17? Why aren't you joining up then? You're old enough? Fuck Chris Ryan/Colin Armstrong, read DLB's autobiography and get the feed, read M.Ashers book"The Real Bravo Two Zero" and see the investigation into it. Soldier 5&SAS RSM Peter Ratcliffe's auto explains. And TACBE can be used ANYWHERE that there is a receiving set,the Yank pilot picked them up but the info train didn't get it to Shed for days. As long as there are radios they will be picked up.

    FFS, don't be so naive!

  • @di55illu5ioned I'm Joining The Rifles, my Selection's in January. After 4 years I want to go for SAS. Yeah your right there, but still better they didnt use jeeps, anyway yeah ok.

  • 7 troop is good but increseingly depressing towards the end, but that's life and the life of an amazing man

  • @shugo541 yeah it got pretty fuked by the end..

  • that is a good read, im trying to read them all, but he brings out more

  • LOL

  • amazing book. but a truly SAD ending.

  • you spelt McNabb wrong

  • you spelt it wrong

  • his books are fucking amazing

  • I wouldn't want to call him dick 'ead

  • He'd kick James Bonds ass.

  • Lol, I dunno about that...My friend's dad was in the SAS with him for a few operations. "Andy" takes credit for a lot stuff he didn't do, but because of the nature of the stuff, his fellow soldiers can't claim he's a fraud....

I'm not saying he's a complete fraud, but he does "exaggerate" a lot of details in his books. - seems like a nice guy though

  • yeah course, ur dad wernt in the SAS with Andy

  • Aye anno man, and my dad used to have tea with Cromwell.

  • thats funny, my dad IS cromwell ;)

  • @krankenshaft James Bond is a paper pusher compared to SAS operators.

  • @krankenshaft Anyone could kick Jame Bond's ass.

  • You can quite easily see what he looks like, or at least on my monitor I can.. o.o

  • He has shown himself at a book festival or something. Plus if you look at his new books and TV series, you can easy work it out. There's even a picture of him on special forces role of honour.

  • have you seen his tour of duty dvd? you can easily see him in that

  • andy my mentor

someday i'll be just like him

but i wont hide my identity

wonder y he hide's his identity

he is tough enough to handle dose guys who want him dead init?

  • would love to know who his first wife was and first son. death before dishonour.

  • I hope at least he got raped! You know, a little bit of fun always helps.

  • do u have any respect?

  • Of course I have. Don´t think I´m a villain if i think those Special Service Men of the world are just assassins in the name of their respective governments.

And being raped could be fun for many people I know, including me. Well, you see I am respectful.

  • his real name is Steve

  • what was his name before steve then seawolfe??????????????

  • he is awesome guy i love his nick stone series really good guy

  • Funny how folks slg him off and forget he was one of the most decorated Sergeants in the Special Air Service. Hes a tough fucker! he wants to write books and reap lots of dosh, fucking let him, hes bloody earned it :)

  • @ROCKYMARCIANOXX0 fuckin amen to that brother

  • how does he need money lmao u idiot hes rich (mostly from talkin bullshit) but still lol

  • nice bloke i respect him for wt he did but i wouldnt of lied about half of the film

  • You need to sell it, and he needed money.

  • they apperently didnt sign the secret act, and so they can devulge some stuff

  • i can see his face raise the brightness on ur computer

  • Andy has a lot body language when he talks. Don't know if this is the way for people to id him before censorship or its just the way he talks, but you can tell its the same guy from Tour of Duty.

  • You see the other SAS guy coming out in public saying stuff on what he did in iraq. Isn't that illegal?

  • He's very funny and yeah a modest guy, most of them are nice guy's they are not thugs!
