How come anything german comes up some dumbass has to mention the nazi's and hitler? First off Hitler is austrian. Second, world war 2 was an extremely long time ago. Almost all those nazis are dead. AND america has more (neo)nazis then germany does today. So how bout you shut the fuck up?

I'm going to do whatever I have to do to learn enough German to go to Oktoberfest this year! Learning Spanish has greatly improved my social life and helped me learn about other cultures so learning any language can only do the same and improve your appreciation of other people. All of these references to Nazis are counter productive and rob people of the opportunity to interact and learn from one another. Thanks for the tips, Dan.

@thehate448 i was in DE for the 1st time in feb this year; fuckin loved every minute of it! best clubs on my month long eurotrip were in berlin, and the ppl were so friendly and willing to help me when they could tell i needed help. so many VERY good english speaking germans. too bad after berlin, spent too much time in praha & krakow to where on my way back to CH, didn't get to spend any time in münchen, except at the hauptbanhof for 1hr, eating weisswurst. will be back next year, for sure!
