  • Once again this has been without a doubt the worst product Behringer has sent me as of yet. My friend who works in the repair department of a Behringer dealer tells me that this mixer is literally always coming back for repairs (an average wait of up to 3 months). People save yourself the nightmare and spend your money wisely, this is not it!

  • @DJpr0found I still use mine and it works great. I've had it for over 2 years now. This is the perfect mixer for someone who wants all the features at a low price. A mixer from Pioneer with similar features can cost around $2k. You can get this for under $400.

  • @DJpr0found Hmm mine works fine. so it must be your friend that not knowing what he is talking about.....

  • The BPM reader 100% does not work, it's completely useless when mixing. All faders, knobs, and buttons are made from cheap light feeling plastic that will NOT hold up to scratching and heavy mixing. The screen is right in the middle of the unit for some reason and is not color, only 80's esque orange block characters. Headphones seem to randomly split for no reason at times (only sound coming from one side). Headphone jack is halfway up the middle of the mixer in the WEIRDEST spot..

  • Worst mixer ever! IF you're thinking about getting this you should instead get a Numark M6 mixer and a Korg kaoss pad kp3 at near the same price with all the same features and it will be a MUCH nicer and sturdier rig than the DDM4000. Behringer crammed as many features as they could into this model with no mind to design and quality and it shows. My promo model had 2 blown channels before it was even time to send it back (4 months) and i was hardly using it. Terrible build quality, do not buy!

  • @MujagaWudakhi it's a mixer after all, just one with midi capability. It's not a dedicated Traktor controller, right. Get yourself the x1 controller along with it, it's not too expensive and designed by Native Instruments themselves especially for Traktor

  • The BPM read out is rubbish!! Apart from that its a really good mixer.

  • @MrGrantgibbs agreed the readout is pretty bad, but the effects (delays and all that) sync pretty good regardless of the BPM readout.

  • @VeXYproductions So you mean that the BPM isn't accurate ? Or ?

  • @salmeization nah its alright. the auto BPM can be a pain in the ass to work with sometimes... but its good with the effects. I haven't played around with the sampler too much but when i did it seemed to work fine.

  • i just got this mixer a couple weeks ago and im still learning it

  • i want to buy this mixer, but... i think its short with the buttons for cue points... thats why i have doubts... everything looks fine... but if i want to use cue points in, lets say traktor, i think it does not have enough buttons free for cue points.. or am i wrong?? :)

  • does this have a pitch knob?

  • What does sample actually mean? Thanks for answer! :D

  • @Lidztroom basically you can record what you input into the mixer for a short period of time.

  • would u recommend i have virtual dj with timecodes

  • @fivestardjs i recommend you learn and understand DJing without using a computer. then later if you feel a need to switch to the PC... by all means do as you like. but i think it makes a huge difference learning first without using somethingl ike virtual DJ.

If you already have some good experiance and want to get into the Digital Computer DJing, I don't know of any reason that should stop you. You are the DJ you make your decision ;)

  • @VeXYproductions i learned to dj on vinyl about 8 years ago b4 everything went digital and everyone had serato and vdj so basically would u recommend this mixer

  • @fivestardjs it depends how much you learned 8 years ago. If you want to make a step towards digital but you don't want to completely enter a new game. I recommend getting a couple of CDJs and a digital mixer. This doesn't mean you will be using computers and software to DJ. You'll still be following the same principles you learned with vinyl with a bit more ease. this is the way I DJ. Most famous DJs use this method of DJing if they don't use vinyl.

  • @VeXYproductions i wanna use software i already use virtual dj with timecodes and i dont like cdj's so is the mixer reliable and is it worth the money

  • What do u need to connect it to ur laptop? I have the behringer and traktor pro

  • Respond to this video... you plug it into midi... you might need a midi adapter. I never tried it so i won't be able to tell you exactly

  • Mine comes this friday!

What midi cable do you use?

  • @yankee014 i dont really use the midi functions i just use it as a regular mixer alongide 2 cdj 400s

  • getting one in 2 days. :D

  • @Honker103 cool :) are you getting it from a shop or are you ordering online? I'm still using this mixer after quite a bit of Djing experience, and I'm still enjoying it and its features. It's a very good mixer.

  • @VeXYproductions im getting it new from the guitar center tomorrow!! and im also getting 2 numark ndx 400's as well. up to now i've been using a hurcules dj controller and a numark dm2002x. and incase you dont know. lol its an olllllddd mixer. so this should be a great upgrade.

  • good video, but you should make another one but this time use more lighting.

  • Alright Thanks :)

    Mine should be arriving tomorrow!!!

  • So the sampler is kind of like the "roll" effect on the Pioneer Mixers?

  • @Kaboom214

i havent messed with the roll effect on the pioneer mixer but to my experiance the roll effect automatically samples a bit and repeats it.

A sampler records something from a selected channel (or everything) and then creates a sample out of it. you can choose to play through your sample once, loop, or while you hold the button.

  • Thanx for all the information! :)

  • I LOVE MINE!!!!!

  • Got one of these in mint condition with the original box from for $195.00. I use it with Ableton Live to run four channels of audio. So far I can't complain about it.

  • holy crap

how much did you pay bro?

  • hey im looking into this mixer is it solid for mobiles

  • I'm happy with it too :)

  • wery good mixer,i have one from last year..
