Your "senor Wences", our Señor Wences, was a famous man from my little city in Spain, Peñaranda de Bracamonte. He was one of the most well known characters from my village, and i'm glad made u so happy in your child time.
Unforgettable guy, more famous in USA than in my/his own country (Spain), where many people know his nephew instead. His nephew was also a ventriloquist, but not as funny as his uncle.
This was taken from "The Muppet Show". What's funny here is that smoking is featured on the show. Wences' catchphrase "S'Okay?" "S'Alright!" was referenced by the wiseman in Jim Henson's "Labyrinth". ; )
OMG ! I have been looking for this skit since I 1st saw it on the Muppet Show !!! THANK YOU for whoever put it up. Omg this brought back soooooo many Memories.. this WAS my alltime favorite Episode of the Muppet Show
Yes,Marleneagnes, Senor Wences was married, but bore no children. His nephew {forgot name} is ALSO a ventriloquist! I MET Mr. Wences at a testimonial luncheon held in his honor in New Jersey in 1989. A WONDERFUL gentelman, & his wife Taly was a dear lady. God rest them.

Just a suggestion: It takes some effort to find this video since it is mistitled as 'Senior' Wences. Of course, it should be Senor Wences.
