That would be great. Most of the time they (e.g. the white police) are doing nothing but contributing to the crime behind the curtains and arresting young blacks. White police in the black community are about as useless as knives at a gunfight.

I am a veteran and I don't want to see a premature withdraw. I watched this country ignore the problem since the first pull-out of Beirut. Following up on the Iraqi Liberation Act of '98 was a brillian military strategy to fight radicals in a more hospitable region than Afghanistan. Stay until the country is stable to defeat their morale and stay close to the problems.

Ronj, would you rather our troops be in Afghanistan or would you prefer we simply do nothing like we did in the mid to late 90s? If you study history, you will see that even the Soviets could not work well in Afghanistan and if we put that fight on the ground there, we would have a lot more casualties. The Iraq situation is much more broad than you are associating it. It is the venue for the war against Islamic extremists, like it or not.

Glitch, it depends on where you go to school. Teachers in the northeast are probably "liberal" while those in the south and midwest are probably "conservative". But you're right on one point, that you shouldn't believe everything that your teachers tell you. Question everything, and use the internet. It's a fabulous resource.
