  • @MrKeithStone I do use a mat on all customer vehicles . These repairs we on the Clearview mobile

  • @lorddinaire I suggest NOVUS windshield repair to fix the crack. They are almost as good as Clearview. ;-)

  • I have a crack like that and I don't know who can fix that in F.Lauderdale/Miami area..They told I have to change the windshield, but my problem it's similar to what I saw in the video..I wonder if someone here knows a reliable person on my area..(by the way How much it cost (more or less)

    Thanks..

  • What about putting a mat in the car where your tools are so you don't scratch the paint. I hope you know how to work a buffer to!

  • Nice hat!

  • I was told (at Speedy Glass) that if crack is running, it is not fixable. the worker told me that replacing the windshield is the only way to do it (it was $480 at Speedy Glass). Looks like there are cheaper way to fix crack.

  • this guy is so great i wish i was him

  • lol, I just like watching heath.

  • anyone in kings lynn able to do this for meee??

  • I've been repairing windshields since the first car was invented. I was also banging Henry Ford's wife (what a hussy). This young whippersnapper is doing it right. The crack I mean, the wife is dead.

  • ive been repairing windshields for 86 years, and this young man is doing a great job. He was trained the right way.

  • @chipcookington How old are you sir?

  • @mypalrocco wtf how?

  • I'd rather see Heath's crack.

  • I know that this is the best way to fix windshields. I fix 10,000 windshield chips and cracks each year.

  • I've been epairin for 22 years, and this young fellow has been trained well. Good work, young man!

  • Hottie

  • Gavin from Auto-glass would like to inject his special resin into your crack!

  • who wont to play doctor to a fuckin windshield just replace it, because the police will still give you a ticket with a crack in your windshield....

  • man just replace the windshield it only take 20 min ok....

  • @241TOPPER

Dude, it takes longer than 20 minutes to replace a windshield/windscreen properly. More like an hour to 90 minutes. I paid $40.000 for my car, I'm not going to let some jackleg slap a windshield into my car in only 20 minutes.

  • Comment removed

  • @vise357 hahah...well then why are you watching these videos then? With a $40,000 car budget you shouldn't need to learn how to repair your own windshield now should you... somethings not right..maybe its the 54 yr old guy on youtube calling people 'jacklegs' in jealousy?

  • Why can't I see the actual video?

  • I have a Ferrari 355 with a 7in crack on the inside of the windshield under the rear view mirror. Noone in the area will do the repair and I would like to try the repair in the second half of your video without creating the bulseye. Is there a reason that I would have to do the bullseye or can it be done without it? Can you recommend a site to buy the materials, high quality low viscosity resin that will suck into the crack easily?

  • @marvinsheldon New screen.... and be careful of impacts to your rear vision mirror!! Dont try and repair it, will turn out shit!!

  • It's a helpful video.

    Thanks, handsome!

  • Where can you buy a kit like this for glass repair.

  • @NikolaAU

    I go to delta kits

  • @NikolaAU you can get it at super cheap autos or repco...$34.99 although on the packet states if crack is on edge of windscreen cannot be done!yet in this footage its clearly gone the the edge. .xrwh.com/ufixit/ thats the type sold.(some other types say no longer than 8 inches which is clearly much longer than 10cm,,so im going to give it go anyhow.

  • @lynnej1970 I have been in the auto glass business for 12 years and made a point of trying every "retail outlet" system that has come out (that I can buy) .... super cheap auto system is....... super cheap!!! take your car to Novus or similar shop and get the job done right, then when you have a warranty issue, you have some some come-back

  • @dregory thanks for your reply,i decided to get a winsdcreen,i did get thes resin but when the rock hit i didnt get any of the shapes only a straight crack that grew to be about 20cm i did buy it a super cheap aurtos i actaully thought the windscreen wasnt a bad price 180 fiitted brand knew,Obriens glass wouldhave charged double that,so even though i spent 145 more,i suppose its worth not getting a defect sticker!ill keep novus in mind 4future (lets just hope i wont have to,thanks again.

  • @NikolaAU put the triple w at the begining of that sight it wouldnt allow me to put the sight in.

  • i have 4 inches of a crack and in Canada they say it cannot be repaired. that i have to replace it. is that normal?

  • @marliestrim

sorry for the delay. yes. if they are good at windshield repairs they shoudl be able to repair cracks up to 12in long.

  • it looks like a simple process, and i would do it if i had the tools ,but im low on cash so how much would thi8s be at a shop.

  • @arm4life87

if you havent already gotten it repaired you will typically pay 50 for the first break and 10 for any additional. prices do vary. and most insurance will waive your deductible to do the repair. which means free to you. Only if you have full coverage though.

  • Is it just me, or this guy extremely hot? ha

  • @TrishaEstra

    I appriciate that. thank you.

  • @HeathHeine You are very welcome handsome (: You can fix my windshield anytime ha

  • I've been doing repairs starting 20 years ago. He has most of it right, but I would have vacuumed the bullseye first. I never would Flex a break and fill without drilling. High rate of spreading. AS for thicker resins as you approach a frame, YES. Much stronger bond, less chance of air hairlines and bubbles. Overall good, but not pro.

  • @TSPenn1 How can you vacuum the bullseye first? Won't the crack make it impossible to get a seal to create a vacuum? What am I missing here? I do composite repairs on aircraft and it's not easy to stop vacuum leaks. I would think you'd do the capillary action thing in the crack first and THEN do the vacuum thing on the bullseye. No?

  • @JetMechMA

the resin starts to flow in to the break as soon as the seal touches down. but then we go immidiatly to a vaccum so as not to create too much pressure on the little cracks in the break.

  • @TSPenn1

come on man. I too am a pro, I have collected knowledge of windshiled repair of over 40 years.

  • @HeathHeine im scared to put that bullseyey in my winshield do i have to?and why do some state 8inches and some state 10 cm cracks?.the crack on mine is about 15cml long.will it still work, also i noticed on the pack stated do not use if the damage goes to edge of windhsield, yet in this footage it clearly does(and so does mine any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I dont know much about fixing cracks but this kinda seemed like a shitty way compared to some of the videos I seen on here. If it was that easy everyone would be in business. I thought u had to vacuum it first and then apply the resin. Plus you can still see the crack in the windshield. No vacuum, uv lamp or polish? is this really a good way?

  • @wsvitak

was there a technique that you found on youtube that was better?

    I want to see it.

  • heheh he put crack on the windshield

  • @hugenoodles thats right , I did.

  • you really should use a muti-viscosity to fix a crack. stone resins sit around 20cps that not going to hold at the edge for very long. you need about a 1600-800cps to fix a edge part and around a 500-400cps to fix the middle, but good job on tapping the bulls eye at the point, you got that part right.

  • @jeepman334 I have never used multi viscosity resins in the crack repair process. however I have had some that could have used it. the closer to the edge the crack is the wider the seperation is. so I do understand your point.

  • but they look really great right?

  • What!? I have never heard of any1 making a bullseye or star break at the end of the crack to stop it! but it could work. It actually will be more visible after. I just drill about a millimeter after the end of the crack or very close to it until I get to the middle layer, & it stops it and is less visible, (you have to have good eyes). Now the method he uses to fill the rest of the crack saves a lot of resin. I just use a dropper. He doesn't cover with plastic after then cure it?

  • You have to star the crack to relieve the stress on the windshield.

  • well the star at the end of the crack is a way to stop it from going any further.

  • do you repair windshields for a company?

  • I've Been Repairing Windshields For 29 Years , & This Young Man Is Doing Everything Right In All His Videos ! Someone Taught Him Well !!!

  • @LittleLynnHotSprings i have 4 inches of a crack and in Canada they say it cannot be repaired. that i have to replace it. is that normal?

  • @LittleLynnHotSprings EXCEPT FOR 1 THING.... HE'S NOT WEARING LATEX GLOVES

  • I've been repairing windshields for almost 4 years and this guys methods are somewhat the same, but he speeds through the process and doesn't really show anyone anything. So, in my opinion, don't listen to everything this guy is saying and look for other videos that are a bit more informative!

  • true !!

  • thanks for the compliment. This is definitly the best way to do repairs, I learned from NOVUS but nothing helps like experiance and I have come across a number of breaks that are large and small. with every one (even after 13 years) I still learn a lot.

I cant really show a lot in only 2 min.

  • you install?

  • Comment removed

  • nope no instalation at this time.

  • Yeah, I flexed it alright - and the crack become a canyon - dang !

  • sorry. let me fix it next time.

  • if you want to see the right way to do repairs, check out annihilator windshield repair tool!

  • Na, Where's your goggles young man?

  • this don't work at all

  • No, it actually works.

I did this to my corolla which had a foot long crack but the key is to flex the glass as much as you can so the resin can flow.

  • those dont work but I do muself and work pretty good but need a couple of treatments but get it as soon a rock hit the windshield. go to any auto place and get most of them are 5 to 10 bucks. I got the one with four suckiong cups on it and come with a probe also and treating sheets.

  • Wonderful

  • wow good stuff.

  • very helpful.
