I hope we get another one of these this year! I went up to Eldora the morning it started dumping and barely made it home that evening, but it was awesome powder!
@Pedwily lol your funny , but no reason to be rude , and im not a slut any more, but dont be meen to the sluts thay have alot of fun and so do ther friends :P
@Willd86 Because usually for lightning there needs to be warm air mixing with cold air, and in a snowstorm its pretty much all cold. Where I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada we get thunder snow every few years...
i live in stupid england and there no snow, well not as much!! i SO want to move back to my hometown denver colorado i loved the snow sooo much as a little kid. i even camped out in my yard with my huskie 'maze' ;)
hey guys i live in canon city and when you guys got that snow storm in 2006 we almost beat you we got 27 in 24 it was great also every weekend for 6 weekends was snow, some deep some just a dust but all in all the blizzard of 2006 was the best
dudes just to let you know that on 3/26/09 there was a 22 car pile up in ft collins and local hospitals in the path of the recent blizz were not bringing in victims but bodies thats right you heard me bodies not victims may they all rest in peace
I'm in Lakewood, Colo, but was living in the city in 2003 and 2006. This one was not worth driving in for several hours (no offense, but people from California and Texas can't drive in the snow) but it isn't nearly as bad as back then.
It seems to happen every couple of years; rather cyclical, I think. But when it does, it's absolutely awesome... until it starts to melt and freeze and melt and freeze.
Oh my gosh the potholes. They even set up that "pothole hotline" so you could call in the worst of them... there are some on Broadway that i would swear are still there from that winter.
lol good try. this was 30 inches! that is a little more than 72 cm (which is quite a bit greater than 40-45 cm). before you comment, do a simple conversion next time ;-)
If you are talking 45 cm, that means 17 inches! Ha!!! We got over 40 inches in March of 2003, within 2 days. That amounts to 101 cm. You don't even know what you are talking about!
wow. and i thought we had snow bad (NE WI) (we had 100 in over the whole yr) our biggest snow storm was just over a foot and 1/2. but wow. thats...thats so awesome!
mine to it was like wtf were is the tree and the tree was not there anymore because it was away because of the storm and we all were like wtf were did the fucking tree go? we saw no tree because it was gone with the storm you know it was really weird waking up without the tree because it was away because of the storm really strange really the tree away but yeah in summer the tree was back so it was not weird anymore without the tree that was away because of the storm
I had just moved here from Minnesota and was told that the snow just melted in Denver. Ha! Your all liars! Minnesotans know how to plow and salt/sand the roads so you aren't stuck. This year theres no blizzard but they still believe in the "let it melt theory". Please learn from Minnesota!
i loved the blizzard..we shoveled for 7 hours just to clear the driveway, then we attempted to fly out the day after, but NO WAY...so the next day we waited in lines for 5 hours...the best part was being able to jump off my roof and not get hurt at all...it was awesome, I LOVED IT!!
I live 50 miles north of denver in Greeley and i wish we could see this every year!! It was sooo peaceful and just a big blanket of WHITE!! Just incredible to see.
When I lived in denver, less snow than that closed the roads for a day or so til it melted. My friends said that this one had Denver shut down for more than a week. That's crazy! Hope you guys learned you lesson and lobbied the city for more snow plows because it could happen again. Up here we have just under 45 snow plows and we have a population of about 100,000. And a snow like that is normal here although the last few winters have been very sparse.
Would you be so kind as to send that snow up here to Minneapolis as we have none right now, my poor snowmobile is being neglected and I do like big snows so I can do a city run thanx.
This looks like an average winter day in Anchorage.

Why do all Canadians like to tell the U.S. people to go to Canada and see what the winters are like. WE GET IT, it's cold.

I wished it snowed in Los Angeles. The best thing we have to snow is hail, and that comes only once or twice a year.
