  • the turtles fought each other more than they fought bad guys!!!!

  • u should see more of the 2003 series, the plots are fantastic and EACH single turtle has great stories and/or moments.

  • This is such an underrated movie.

  • U said you wanted opinion on the Ralph/Leo thing. I LOVE Leo, he's my fave. BUT/HOWever(!!!!) They (filmmaker) made Leo waaay to outta character EGOtistical(!!) &cocky! You are right. I think Leo is the greatest ninja and should alawys be the strongest, I mean they could make Raph come out on top some with his anger and fierceness but Leo would kick his butt think about it he had been off training! There should be NO ? who'd win. I love both their rlationship with Splinter in the 1st film.

  • Yeah I love Raph too.

  • @NintendoFreakX i like mikey please replay

  • @kakuman1995 well I like mikey because of his hip teenager attitude but Raph is strong, tough and serious.

  • The one thing that 2003 Turtles have that the 1980 cartoon Turles don't is flawless voice acting and Pure Awesomeness

  • the original 80's cartoon was made only to sell toys. And i like the comics, but i was sort of put out when they were killing foot clan guys or thugs. I would be fine if they just beat and maybe crippled them if they had it coming. mercy, and comas. thats how i roll. And you have to admit the the movie turtles did very well with guys in costumes. That stuff is hard to manuever in, especially doing backflips and stuff

  • BUT ITS GOT TOBE REALLY GOOD C.G.

  • this is a underrated movie it was good

  • Just throwing this out there Donatello has always been my favorite.

  • i watched the movie with my nephew and his fav part was the leo and raph fight....gentlemen, this movie was ment for kids! keyword: kids. it wasnt for 18 yr olds and old time fans so shut up...i think it was great and on some things, i agree with your vid, blowshimselfupdude.

  • well yes kids but not "kids" its really part of a fan base it was well down made for all ages to really sell and market it of course...but to be honest no real cartoon was made for kids originaly...they are done by fans that had no choice but to tame it down

  • i know...they were going for a touch of darkness, diff storyline, and ome more kung fu. they did an aok job seeing that they were trying to make it appropiate for all ages. also the movie was going to be over 2 hrs long, but realed that prob. more kids would be watchin it so they did tune it down along with the fighting.

  • they messed up leos character in the scrpit. the fight was so so horrible.

  • explain? he was really like the combination of leos from the new series the comics and the original movie...i liked the fight....unless you mean the fight at teh end with the monsters...i mean the ralph fight it was the best turtle moment i seen since the first movie

  • the leo vs raph fight was so badly done

  • How so? Based on all the other continuities it's spot on.

  • because they made leo a hyocrite. he did the same stuff that raph was doing when he was a teeenager!like with his bros!it was visually good but it was setup horribly

  • That's because Leo is a self rightous hypocryt. That's allways been his character.

  • i dont have a problem with him not like raph to do it like how raph was risked the explosere of the turtles! and that is not his chartacter all the time.

  • @blowshimselfupdude He's the leader because he is the most disciplined one and that is his character, the reason this fight did not work is because in the initial drawing boards raph was supposed to have his sai near Leo's eye close to killing him, making Leo's surprise and Raph's reaction more believable. The studios took it out in order to make it PG, otherwise it would have been PG-13.

  • splinter was alawys a rat

  • pretty good movie donatello the best lol

  • It was a fun movie to watch, it felt like the definitive version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hope they make a sequel.

  • tmnt 2 2010 tmnt 3 2011

  • Saw it. It was Ok

  • I still have to see this movie, just because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles own

  • i notice that too,it was part of that whole early 90's cartoon thing, if u check the rules that marvel had to have for the series running at that time was riduculous. like the could never use guns, cops or the government couldnt be betrayed as bad, they couldnt shoot guns but could shoot lasers, and couldnt say the word dead, died, or dieing.

  • best movie done since the first movie

  • I did like the fight in the CGI movie, but I didn't like how the fight ended. I always saw Leo as the best fighter and Raph being the toughest and the strongest.

  • critics are assholes. this movie was awsome.

  • Agreed! The movie was awesome, cgi, atmostphere, everything was awesome, plot sucked but the movie rocked... if that makes any sense.

  • I loved splinters voice hes also the voice of Aku from Samuria Jack

  • And Uncle Iroh in Avatar.

  • back to the sewers not return to the sewers

  • the turtles are 15 still in the movie's

  • @ofomatheblackbelt I know this is over year to reply but, The Turtles arent 15 in this movie. Theyre between 18-19

  • the 2003 car toon raph and leo didn't use thier wepons they used kicks

  • they used them in the cartoon just not killing ppl ...now the old cartoon they never used them except to cut pizza and to wave in the air

  • Ha you said the hand twice. They should have done (( The City At War)) story line!!! as a sequel because after the Shredder dies, his empire is up for grabs so you have the Mobsters, the Foot, the Gangs, and the cops all at war. But they cant do that now. Man that would have been a great opportunity for character develpoement. Mikey could get discouraged of the violence. And Casey Jones could have done some great stuff too.

  • Personally I enjoyed this movie, but you cant beat the classic 80s movies!

  • The one that came out in 91?

  • Yeah sorry haha, yh the one in 91, i always thought it was 89, sorry.

  • IMDB says it came out in '90.

  • TMNT is the best thing ever.......but yeah the cartoon killed it even thought i enjoyed it as a kid, but the comics have a mature tone, and its awesome!

  • They should do a movie based off the Rapheal Micro Series Issue. But it wouldn't happen cause "TMNT is kid stuff."

  • I'm not really sure you stretch the story for a whole movie.

Then again at one point they were going to make a loose adaption of the Don micro series as the fourth live action film so I guess anything is possible.

  • I don't get why some don't really like the CGI for the Turtles, I mean they're supposed to be Ninjas, they have to be quick and agile like in the comics. The costumes looked bulky and awkward. Some people just don't want to accept that they were not as great, biased nostalgia. The voice acting in the CGi was GREAT. The scene with Leo and Raph is just so perfect. The Dialog, the animation, the effects. That scene alone made the movie worth while

This is the second best Turtles film. easily.

  • I'm going to say if I had to pic one thing to show someone TMNT it woudl be the Raph Leo fight. Just powerfully emotionally and one of the best CG fights ever (possibly th best)

  • i think 13 and up

  • Comment removed

  • @Apoet916 agreed i think turtles forever is the best

  • I think people attach to much nostalgia when it comes to the original movies. 2nd and 3rd where not good imo. I grew up on the Turtles as well. After a while though I could only really watch the first one and enjoy it.

The TMNT movie was great! I'm 23 years old but I took my little cousin to watch it. I was a bit excited seeing as how I grew up on TMNT.. I was surprised how good it turned out. I agree about the main plot line lacking, but over I loved the movie.

  • Fast Forward gets a lot better in the second half.

The 80s cartoon is awesome, its just a totally different take on the character. Its very funny and has GREAT episodes, don't dismiss it so quick by a few stinker seasons, I like it as much as 2k3.

The film was a huge disappointment, its not bad but it isn't great either. Second movie is campy fun and its actually the third one that is a lot better than the 2nd yet it gets more hate.

And at the moment no new movie sadly.

  • WHAAA! Is it possible ot not liek the first Ninja Turtles movie? I mean it's just like the comics (ok so it has a bit more swearing but they even it out by toning down the blood). I'm sad the second and third movie didn't follow the comics too. That woudl have bene awsoem to see some of there more trippy adventures but still be dark like the comics.

As far as I know they are in talks for a new film with the Turtles cged but with real people (which is the best way I feel). But nothing for sure

  • I love the first movie, never said I didn't, its the CG one that I didn't like so much, still liked it but I was disappointed by it.

  • Oh ok I got ya. Yeah this one could have been better. I liked the look of the turtles and there chracterazations. but the story wasn't all that intresting.

  • @blowshimselfupdude this was a fun movie! the 2nd best tmnt movie

  • the thing about TMNT movies is that they keep starting off great but end with a bit annoyance, i don't know if it was me but the ninja girl give a clue shredder is still alive right?

i just hope the next movie has a villain most of us know

  • I REALLY do not want shedder back. He's only in like 4 issues of the comic. He isn't supposed to be their main villian. I want to see more villains that the comic readers would know.

  • true i like to see some other unusual chars but the so called death of super shredder is needed to be done properly, that was the thing i hated about the live movie but not in movie ? cgi 2 but in 4?

  • I personally like the original animated series, in the same way many people like the Adam West Batman series, that it may kinda suck, but it has both a nostalgic factor and an entertainment value. By the way, I never read the 60s Batman comics, but David Mazzucchelli says on the deluxe edition of "Batman year one" that he thinks the Adam West series is a pretty faithful translation of the 50s and 60s Batman comics. Better check it out.

  • Yes I know. But the 50's and 60's comic sucked. With alien tree's and what not.

  • Also they had intended to return Batman to his darker roots (the new costume was supposed to tie into that). But when the tv series became popular they put that on hold.

  • Altho it's odd. I have no tollerance for the 80's cartoon of the turtles. But I have no problem with The Superfriends or the 60's Batman show.

I think it's because the turtles animated series has had a much more detremental effect on the turtles then the other 2 shows.

  • Kevin Smith: Please Don't Kill Me I Have Kid's In Collage,.... Community Collage LOL

  • Haha.

  • What's BodyCount?

  • It's the most violent TMNT comic ever. And probably the longest running gun fight in comics EVER.

  • As a huge Turtles fan I kinda hated this movie. Like you said, the plot was stupid and cliche, and Mike and Don get screwed. But the main thing is that I hate cgi. Give me the true MAGIC of full live action. I don't buy the BS of being able to do more with cgi, with the suits and stuff, look at the amazing feat they were able to do in 1990! Imagine what they could do now, 19 years later.

  • Continuing my thoughts. Look at what Gueillermo Del Toro was able to do with Pan's Labyrinth and the Hellboy movies, now just imagine Ninja Turtles done in the same way.

  • Again he has a much larger budget.

I'm not the CG guy. But in this case it is needed. They can't make them short enough. Fast enough. Or agile enoug. With puppets. This is a nessisary upgrade for teh turtles.

  • They can't do anything more with the suits now then they could then. The suits are too expensive, bulky, and restrictive.

Also they had nowhere near teh budget on this one. Essentially no one would let them make a movie unless it was cg.

Plus the costumes looked nothing like the comics.

  • I couldn't disagree more, first off the first movie had a nothing budget, like 8-10 million or so. Imagine if they had a standard budget today like 70 million, there is so much that can be done. I think these film-makers are just lazy and they have no respect for Ninja Turtles and don't care about them. As amazing as the suits and effects were in the first 2 movies, how can you tell me that they couldn't be 100x better today?!

  • Well with inflation it wouldn't be 8-10 million (which I'm pretty sure they spent more then that one) but this film cost 5 mil.

  • They aren't lazy. Did you see the rooftop scene? And I already told you. No one would finanse them for a liveaction movie. They TRIED to get one made. This whole "film makers now adays just use CG for everything" doesn't work in this situation.

Why would they be better puppet technology hasn't gotten any better. And you'd still have all the problems of befere. The Turtules would be too big, too slow, and no where near agile enough.

This film is as close to the turtles of the comics

  • kool reveiw and im a leo fan

  • So did it annoy you when Raph took Leo out?

  • no really because when raphs angery hes like unstoppable pluse hes raph
