@Vilanx Elfen Lied is one of the most fucked up anime, depending how you look at it, School Days and Death Note are pretty fucked up too, but more on a theory mental level, Elfen Lied is physical and mentally fucked up. Kara no Kyoukai is pretty messed up too, Shiki has some real issues going on which you find out very early in the anime (so it's not a spoiler) and the theme for the anime is also murder, just like Elfen Lied

@animefans24 well considering each episode is what 45 minutes almost? which is about the same as 2 episodes from any other anime it was about 12 or 13 like most anime will run excluding one piece bleach etc. but Furi Kuri or FLCL was 6 and each ran about 23 minutes without the intro and was one of the best i ever watched

this is reguards to pretty much the majority of adaptions anywhere. For instance, the original manga version of mnemosyne is probably better than this adaption (I haven't read it yet, but would like to eventually)

I honestly found the anime pretty awful, first two episodes were fine I guess, I liked the concept of the immortal detective woman, but once it introduced the angels which made the immortal gals go horny-mode, and then time-skipped, it went downhill. That last part in the 'dungeon' place was a train-wreck of stupidity.

I actually had no problem with that concept. Yeah, it's silly (and borderline "hentai"), but so is the majority of most animes. It was the time skipping and the rushed ending and just overall how short the anime that really felt awful. Wasted potential, overall.
